I’m so petty that the only thing I can focus on in this statement is how it says “Dick and Jim” and how during the trial Washington Post Kathleen Parker (don’t let the paper clout fool you ... she’s a good ole girl) wrote this about us: “Without the funds, ‘Dick and Jim,’ as they’re derisively referred to by Bland’s colleagues on their podcast, “Cup of Justice,” say Murdaugh will be forced to get a public defender.” Believe me, you know when I’m being derisive and calling them Dick and Jim ain’t it ... Our justice system provides—indeed demands—that every person is entitled to a fair trial, which includes an impartial jury untainted by external forces bent on influencing the jury toward a biased verdict. “Although we are aware of the time, money, and effort expended for this lengthy trial, we have no choice but to reverse the denial of Murdaugh’s motion for a new trial due to Hill’s improper external influences on the jury and remand for a new trial.
