Hereâs the issue: In hairdressing school, you must be signed off on using bleach, but Hair Extensions? Theyâre just an optional unit. And honestly, thatâs not good enough. The right training provides a full picture of how to prevent damage.

Perfecting movement patterns is the key to creating extensions that blend and flow naturally with your clientâs hair. Even with the perfect colour match and volume, if the hair doesnât move seamlessly, it will look like a heavy, solid layer.
In this video, I get my client to shake her head at different paces and angles to identify where the extensions arenât moving correctly. This helps me refine the cut, ensuring the layers blend beautifully and mimic natural movement.
⨠Pro Tip: Choose the right volume! This gives you room to remove weight for movement without losing too much fullness. Remember, the shorter your clientâs hair, the more the movement pattern will need blending for a flawless result.
