Stoked to be the most comfortable I’ve ever been in this bloody cold water haha AND my equalization is holding strong and consistent. And I am finally in a position where my depth in the cold water is limited by whatever the tides allow us to the bottom of the ocean in a given day. The visibility was incredible today.
It’s been over a month now, so I can be certain and happily say I finally reworked my equalization and found my years long problem. Here I come 🥹 don’t get me wrong, I’m far from perfect now-but at least I have stuff I can continually work on and progress with instead of hitting a brick wall like I was before.

Don’t judge me on technique, I was coming up from an exhale dive- just enjoying having zero cares 🤭 as a friendly reminder don’t always judge yourself and focus on perfect technique. Sometimes you’ve just gotta say screw it and play a bit with good feelings and being carefree instead.
In the beginning of the video you see my genuine reaction to realize that I was being recorded 😂 it’s like big brother out there caught me slacking a bit but vibing with myself haha. Growing up always training for something it’s just funny to now analyze myself and know that my response is totally out of being used to needing to dance like your teacher is always watching. In this case dive haha

79 meters below the surface on one breath. And this is only the beginning…why?
I have been in Dahab training coached by @michele.apnea — an amazing person and strong and dedicated freediver I deeply respect!
From the first meeting, we just clicked.
When I arrived, my personal best was 56 meters — a pushed dive, yellow card bifins at the world championships 2025. I gave myself red cart and not allowed to compete again, without training depth. After 9 sessions (and some fun diving) I did 79 meters.
Clean. Controlled. Calm.
It wasn’t equalisation that stopped me.
It wasn’t lack of air.
It was simply the safetystopper at the bottom plate.
That’s how I know — this is just the beginning.
There is a different level available.
2026 will be an existing year.

❄️ 7 DEGREES. MURKY WATER. TOTAL SILENCE. ❄️
When rivers pour into the sea and the water turns icy and dirty, some stay at home… others drop below the murky layer and wait.
Yesterday, with 7°C water, almost zero visibility on the surface and only a few meters of “clean” water underneath, the aspetto (ambush) technique made all the difference.
Stillness, controlled breathing, and total trust in being in the right place at the right time.
The result? Two stunning sea bass 🤍🐟🐟
In such extreme conditions, gear really matters:
the Elios 9 mm wetsuit, smooth skin directly on the body and externally coated with an ultra-thin layer of lycra, was absolutely key.
Constant warmth, total comfort, zero heat loss… even after hours in freezing water.
When your body feels good, your mind stays sharp.
And the fish show up.
👉 Cold water doesn’t mean giving up. It means being prepared.
