On April 25th, I hosted the Hellenic Social Club an @eliossf event to benefit the Elios Charitable Foundation at the iconic @bimbos365club in San Francisco. Bimbo’s has stood as a beacon of glamour and celebration and it was an unforgettable evening featuring a seated dinner, special guests, incredible live entertainment supporting the Elios Charitable Foundation’s enduring mission to advance Hellenic culture, education, and philanthropy.
What began as a night of hosting turned into a complete surprise when I was also presented with the Elios Spotlight Award of Excellence. The Spotlight Award was created to recognize and encourage emerging Greek American artists and the next generation of leaders in their fields. A true honor!
A huge thank you to Frosene Phillips for orchestrating the surprise, and to my brother @alexipapalexopoulos who arrived just in time from LA to present the award to me on stage.
The Consul General of San Francisco, Grigorios Tassiopoulos, also presented the award, along with my Greek passport. They even screened our dual citizenship spoof sketch for the crowd, which made the night feel like a full-circle moment of identity, community, culture, and comedy all in one room!
