“Sana All” is a typology that explores Gen Z’s fear of being left behind. It is rooted in this constant cycle of comparison that happens the more we spend time on social media. Constantly seeing other people’s achievements, lifestyles, relationships unconsciously creates this pressure to measure your life against theirs. At first, it feels passive but over time, it becomes overwhelming and it slowly consumes you. It becomes a habit that shapes our self-perception. The work is made up of 29 images, which represent the daily and repetitive act of doomscrolling. I wanted to visualize how comparing ourselves to others isn’t something to be taken lightly. Somewhere in that repetition, comparison becomes automatic. It shapes how you see your own life, even if what you’re comparing it to is only a highlight and never the full picture. ——— I’ve had a love-hate relationship with this class project since the beginning. Many things didn’t go as planned, and I almost didn’t even get to present this 💀 Life's been a bit rocky lately and what’s ironic is I’ve been falling into the same trap I was talking about: comparing, overthinking, feeling like I’m behind. It’s like I made something that exposed a problem that I didn’t realize I was still in. And maybe that was the point. Maybe this project was never just about observing something from a distance or just finishing it for the sake of passing a class. Maybe it was meant to bring me back, to remind me that my life doesn’t have to follow anyone else’s timeline. That even in seasons where things feel off, God is still present. Still working. Still writing something good. “The Lord is my shepherd; I have all that I need.” — Psalm 23:1 “Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus.” — 1 Thessalonians 5:18 “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” — Jeremiah 29:11 ——— "God's Got My Back"
