I used a cross as a photography prop… and it changed how I shoot. Inspired by Gabriel Moses, I challenged myself to make something honest and faith-based without it feeling forced. The question I asked was: What does faith look like when you’re still in the struggle? The model sits there, hands closed in… refusing to look up. The cross isn’t just a prop, it’s something I actually pray with. In this brutalist space, it creates a tension between warmth and emptiness. Lighting was simple. Just emotion. If I changed anything, I’d add more objects to push the story further. When a prop has real meaning, people feel it instantly. As it gives people something worthwhile to reminisce.

BTS photos should never be wasted. Here’s why! I was shooting behind the scenes at an actor interview. But the lighting looked way too good to ignore. So I grabbed a broken TV and built a scene, like someone just had a movie ruined for them. I Kept the light tight on the face and hands, everything else falls off. That’s the thing with BTS, you’re in spaces with resources you don’t usually have. Use it to your advantage!

Spec campaigns are an underrated way to spice up your portfolio… and this shot explains why. One night I was scrolling through Adidas’s feed and realised I’d never seen them shoot in a cinema and considering sportswear is worn so casually now… the cinema felt like a normal place to push that idea, there I got a whole team together and I got to work. I wanted it to feel packed, chaotic… like energy just spilling out. So I stacked everyone into the space, people basically trampling over each other trying to get the best seat. Everyone had a role. different expressions, different movement… no one just standing still. I kept the lighting hard and direct, pushed the contrast, let the shadows shape everything and if you’re scared to try ideas like this, no one’s watching as much as you think. People forget in like 48 hours… so you might as well just do it.”
