๐ฌ Yesterday, ๐๐ข ๐๐ญ๐ฆ๐ด๐ด๐ช๐ฅ๐ณ๐ข ๐๐ฎ๐ข๐ฏ๐ข had its Italian premiere, presented to the audience at the @doricofilmfest .
During the screening, Elia Bei reflected on the origins of the project โ from the initial spark inspired by a testimony collected by Franco Basaglia to the choices that shaped its visual identity, developed together with cinematographer @_simonegambelli_ and the strong authorial presence of @alessandro_lui .

Elia Bei was born in Fermo in 1990. He graduated as an actor in 2012 from the European Academy of Dramatic Arts, obtaining a BA in Performing Arts. In 2015, he wrote, directed and produced his first short film, ๐รฉ๐ค๐ข๐ฅ๐ฆ๐ฏ๐ค๐ฆ, which was selected for various Italian and international festivals. In 2017, he attended the directing course taught by Piero Messina at the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia and, in the same year, together with Alessandro Lui, he began developing two new short films: ๐๐ญ ๐ญ๐ข๐ฅ๐ณ๐ฐ ๐ฅ๐ช ๐ด๐ฑ๐ฆ๐ป๐ช๐ฆ and ๐๐ช๐ต๐ต๐ฐ๐ณ๐ช๐ข ๐ฑ๐ฆ๐ณ ๐ต๐ถ๐ต๐ต๐ช.
The first won the Siae - Sโillumina competition for international distribution in 2018. The second won the Rai Cinema Channel award for best short film at the Riff, Rome Independent Film Festival in 2019.
In addition, since 2020, he has been working on his first documentary entitled ๐๐ฏ ๐ข๐ฏ๐จ๐ฆ๐ญ๐ฐ ๐ช๐ฏ ๐ฃ๐ช๐ญ๐ช๐ค๐ฐ, about the life of the famous Marche artist Osvaldo Licini.

Basaglia, this short film tells the story of a long night
inside a psychiatric hospital. An unequal exchange between a nurse and a young inmate, in which the latter is forced to undergo inhumane practices, which he survives only thanks to his dedication.

Siamo nel 1962, allโinterno di un ospedale psichiatrico. Una lunga notte scandita da un rapporto impari tra un giovane internato e un infermiere: un do ut des disumano, dove a resistere รจ solo la forza della dedizione.
