Today marks one year since my dad passed away after a four-year battle with colon cancer. He will always and forever be in my heart, and his soul will live on through my brothers and me. Please cherish every moment you have with your loved ones, knowing that you can't take anything with you when you go, except for the incredible memories you shared. Dad, I love you more than words can measure. More than our shared love for fishing, 80s music, and dogs. More than our mornings with coffee and donuts, and our expeditions to find shark's teeth by the creek. More than our visits to museums where we took our time and appreciation for the outdoors. I am grateful for every second we spent together, for every moment you shaped me into the man I am today, and for teaching me not to take life too seriously. I will continue to make you proud. Keep abiding, dude. I love you.
