Let’s Talk About Payload.
Many have asked, “why use the F-550 / RAM 5500 for your truck builds?”
Aside from the wide track front axle allowing tighter turns than an F-350, a stronger and larger rear axle, larger brakes, a longer and stronger frame, higher towing capacity, and more real estate for extra fuel tanks, a big reason is the payload capacity.
Our trucks boast a 19,500lb Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR). Payload capacity (how much weight the vehicle can support) is determined by subtracting the weight of the vehicle from its GVWR. While our trucks are certainly heavy, they can essentially support their own weight as additional payload.
Here are the exact payload figures for our trucks:
F-550 Black Edition: 9,608lbs
F-550 Limitless Edition: 10,243lbs
RAM 5500 Black Edition: 9,830lbs
RAM 5500 Limitless Edition: 10,160lbs
Many of our clients use their EOG trucks to support large and heavy campers and habitats. By now I’m sure we’ve all seen the photos of the F-350’s and RAM 3500’s snapped in half from too heavy of a camper or cargo in the bed. The Peak Edition F-550 - With Some Upgrades
Our Peak Edition F-550 is mechanically identical to the Black Edition - just without some extra auxiliary items.
Think of the Black Edition F-550, but without the light bar, corner lamps, winch, AMP steps, black emblems/accents, and with linex/powdercoat bumpers/flares.
For those looking for the ultimate experience in ride quality, handling, and capability - without some of the extra bells and whistles.
This particular client spec’d some functional upgrades, adding the winch, full @bajadesigns lightning package, and AMP steps. A massive @bowen_customs flatbed was also ran rather than our factory spec F-550 pickup bed.
The cherry on top- we include a full black interior conversion on these upgraded Baja interior trucks, completing the finish inside by removing all gray fabric and trim pieces for black.

Our client chose some awesome upgrades from our standard Limitless package, featuring a color-matched @bowen_customs Camper Bed, and our HD front bumper package. He opted to fabricate his own third brake light housing for the rear, hence the taped section.

Ford’s Avalanche color already looks incredible on our Black Edition with all of the black accents, but with a full matte PPF covering the truck?
Chef’s kiss.
Exclusive to Avalanche color trucks, we wrapped the headlight bezel in matte PPF as well, really tying the front end together nicely. Our friends at @milehighcustomsco knocked this full PPF application right out of the park!
