Following our video with @jeremy.enjoylife about focusing on strengths! Many people focus on their weaknesses when chasing success. They focus on their mistakes and failures and think if they watch videos of their failures enough it will motivate them to be better. This is an absolutely ancient way of thinking! Research has now confirmed that we must instead focus on our strengths and try to find ways to maximize those strengths! Of course it’s helpful to fix mistakes, but many people would probably be surprised with how little time we need to revisit those mistakes in order to fix them. Try to bring forward one of your strengths today! 🏆

This is just one of the many ways Jeremy helps clients focus on their strengths! The research shows us time and time again how incredibly important it is for us to focus on our strengths instead of our weaknesses. However, we can’t do that if we don’t even know what our true strengths are! Jeremy helps clients identify their accurate strengths, then finds ways to integrate them into clients’ daily behaviors. This type of work has been linked to higher confidence, energy, motivation, and overall success in individuals. So ask yourself, what’s right with you? 🏆

Tip 3 of Elevate Yourself! If you wanted a plant to thrive, would you simply pull out the weeds and call it a day? No! You would need to water it, give it good soil, and provide it with the proper sunlight as well! We need to do the same with ourselves. If we only focus on our negatives and what’s going wrong, we will become hyper fixated on those. Suddenly, it will feel like everything is going wrong. This can lead to a very hopeless, paralyzing, and unrealistically skewed mindset. It’s equally if not more important to focus on our strengths! What are you already good at and how can you bring more of that to your every day experience? đŸȘŽ

Following with our tip to elevate yourself, did you know people who take on the mindset of every failure being a percentage of a success have a higher likelihood of success in the future? Every failure is a percentage of a success, unless you truly did not try at all. If you wanted to run a marathon and you got injured the week before, you still got through some of the training. If you wanted to lose 20 lbs and you lost 15, that’s still 75% of a success. Learn to reframe your failures and the successes will follow 🏆

As a follow up from our post yesterday in our “Elevate yourself” feature, here’s one of the ways Heather helps her clients learn from their mistakes! Learning from our mistakes is so important, and it can be so helpful to have an outside source, like a coach, make sure you’re not dwelling too much on the mistake and that you’re processing it in the correct way. Our personal biases are so influential, and sometimes completely outside of our own awareness! A coach helps you get an accurate look on your mistakes and how to move forward 🏆

Here’s our second tip to elevate yourself! Learn from your mistakes and failures. We’ve obviously all heard this before- learn from your mistakes. However, easier said than done. A huge piece of this is making sure you do so without DWELLING on your mistakes and failures, and making sure you don’t identify with your mistakes and failures. Peak performance and growth requires you to acknowledge your mistakes and failures, accept them, reframe them into a learning opportunity/part of the process, and then properly conceptualize how you will handle a similar situation in the future. Easier said than done! This is another great reason a performance coach is so helpful! Let them do that work for you and walk you through all those steps 🏆

We are starting a new series called: Elevate Yourself! Here, we will share the top 20 tips that research has shown will elevate you as a person and elevate your performance. We will also share how Elevate coaches help with these tips, and some of their own success stories. The first tip is to increase your self awareness! It’s really difficult to have ample growth as an individual if you aren’t self aware. And you might be thinking right now that you are pretty self aware, but did you know that 95% of people think they are self aware, when in reality
only roughly 10% actually ARE self aware!?!??? Self awareness takes practice! Our Elevate coaches have lots of techniques to help you increase self awareness. Thought journals. Physiology scanning. Thought breakdowns mid session. Our coaches are practiced in helping you slow down your thinking so you can dive into meta cognition. Thought shifting. Mindfulness practice. 💭 Remember, practice makes progress! 🏆 . . . . . . . . . . . #coaching #lifecoaching #performance #performancecoaching #business #financialtrading #mindset #mind #mentalstrength #sportpsychology #sports #athletes #wellbeing #mental #brain #athlete #finance #trading #success #coach
