Introducing our redesigned cake program, now available to order in Boston and Portsmouth. After years of working with round cakes, we felt drawn to evolve our form. Inspired by the simple luxury of a square piece of sheet cake — and the idea that cake can be part of everyday celebrations, as well as grand occasions — our cakes are now presented in a modern rectangular format. Designed for generous, easy slicing and finished in an organic frosting style, the collection features a focused selection of flavors that allows us to preserve our artisanal approach, and is offered in two sizes. Fresh floral decoration and beeswax candles are available to complete the occasion.

We are pleased to continue hosting Aperitivo in Boston in January—now on Thursday-Saturday evenings—by reservation or walk-in. A cherished Italian cultural institution that unfolds in the hours after work is done, but before dinner, Aperitivo consists of small snacks and drinks designed to stimulate the appetite for the bigger meal to come. More importantly, however, Aperitivo is a social touchpoint for Italians—a celebratory event that elevates the simplest pleasures of life—food, drink, and human connection—to the status of honored ritual.

Considered by many to be the world’s best butter, Bordier is made in France using old-world artisanal techniques. Wooden paddles are used to knead the butter, producing a superbly smooth texture. The demi-sel butter is lightly salted during the kneading process, crushing the salt as it incorporates, leaving fine salty bits throughout. The butter is then shaped into bricks by hand using titanium paddles that imprint a unique pattern onto each brick.
