Tomorrow, Tuesday 21st November, marks a very special day for our family. It’s what would have been the 80th Birthday for Ralf-Roger Weiss, our father, husband and grandfather, and the late founder of Elephant Hill.
Roger is greatly missed by his friends and family. Having shared much success through his life, he was a man full of vision, entrepreneurship, adventure and generosity, who luxuriated in a great many books, overlooking Cape Kidnappers, with a red wine in hand. In his honour, it only seems appropriate to create a truly unique wine in his name, grown from the vineyard and winery he once built.

Our Free-range pork is sourced from Woody’s in Levin, are brined overnight, then marinated in sake lees.
Slow-roasted for three hours, then finished over charcoal for depth and texture.
On the plate, it’s paired with smoked & roasted apple purée, fresh apple, and char-grilled dandelion.
A balance of sweet, bitter, and smoky, letting the pork shine.
