It's here! Raphael: Sublime Poetry opened on Tuesday at @metmuseum to members and will open to all on Sunday. If you haven't heard from me lately, it's because I've been in the Italian Renaissance. Come admire curator Carmen Bambach's 8 years of work (and my 8 months) before June 28th.

It's hard to believe that the exhibition that I've been working on since December 2022 at @metmuseum is finally here. Working with @stephanieherdrich on this project has been a dream come true-- and it was crazy to meet @paulperrin and @caroline_corbeau_parsons_ from the @museeorsay in person at last! Sargent and Paris is open to members now and opens to everyone starting Sunday.

Vacation, part II: Dorset. Country lanes, a crazy cape, fireworks(!), and Stonehenge.

My first ever visit to Newport for my 34th birthday! Beautiful, windswept rocks and lavishly decorated interiors galore. Swipe to last image to see some topiary camels in honor of Princess and Baby, Doris Duke's pet camels.

I *just* got in under the wire to see "The Sassoons" at the @thejewishmuseum (it closes this weekend). Of course, I ran into a Met colleague when I was there, because she had the same idea. My three favorite Sargents in the show and a Philpot I liked as well.

I have mixed feelings about America, but I love the ephemeral beauty of fireworks.

I could not resist this issue of French men's magazine "La Vie Parisienne" from April 1881 doing the important work of recording the many plunging necklines on view across the world of Parisian nightlife 🧐
