From the girl whose plans got painfully disrupted on her path to medical school, to standing at Yale School of Medicine, one of the most prestigious and world renowned medical institutions in the world, as a speaker in front of an audience of physicians, residents, medical students, mental health professionals, researchers, and advocates.
I could not have written this story. But God did.
It has been one of the greatest honors of my life to present at The Women’s Mental Health Conference at Yale School of Medicine. I spoke on something close to my heart and my history.
From Life Support to Self Support: What the ICU Taught Me About Women’s Mental Health Recovery.
I drew from my clinical training in the ICU and my years of coaching women through their most vulnerable seasons, and I introduced the B.R.E.A.T.H.E. framework. A protocol I built for the woman who is functioning on the outside but drowning on the inside. The woman who has been surviving when she deserves to be sustained.
Someone cried during the breathwork. The feedback was top tier. And I thought to myself, this is exactly why.
And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28

Girl to girl: accept yourself 🌸
I’ve always been someone who pays attention. To people, to growth, to what’s possible. But for a long time, paying attention to other women made me feel like I needed to change something about myself to get their results.
Little did I know I was missing out on me. My uniqueness. My tailor made advantage.
I soon realized self acceptance is one of the major keys to becoming the best and highest version of yourself. My path is unique. My voice is amazing. My face, my story, everything about me was designed specifically and intentionally.
And so was yours.
God did not create a counterfeit.
You have no idea how lucky you are, to look the way you look and to be exactly the way you are. You are perfect just the way you are. 🤍

Being with a partner who pushes you toward your highest potential and will never let you settle for less is an immense blessing. And I am so blessed.
A partner who will not compete with you, put you down, or shrink you but instead pull out the God-sized potential in you is truly everything and what I desire women to have.
My biggest supporter and very best friend flew all the way to New Haven to be there for his baby girl’s presentation at The Women’s Mental Health Conference at Yale School of Medicine. He was my personal content creator, photographer, PA, prayer partner, and cheerleader the entire weekend.
He carried all my books in a suitcase. Ran every errand. Had my makeup on standby just in case. Prayed with me before I walked on that stage. And cheered the loudest when it was over.
Behind every woman stepping into her purpose is someone who believed in her before the room did. I found mine. And I do not take that for granted for one single day.
