On BBC Focus on #Africa, I sat down with Ghanaian star, Gyakie to honour the life and legacy of Ghana’s highlife giant Ebo Taylor, who passed on 7 February at the age of 90.
Ebo Taylor’s sound travelled far beyond the boarders of the 233 🇬🇭. Sampled by artists such as #Usher, Black Eyed Peas and his own nephew #Vic Mensa, his sonic DNA is stitched into global hits. A Ghanaian sound that never needed a passport.!
What made it sweeter was being introduced by my bro, @iamdanieldadzie turning the moment into a three way Ghanaian link up on a global platform.
