Continue to mark your calendars! The Ffffffffffffffffffffffffffestival of Music, Sound & Noise rolls into Saturday April 11 at NoiseTown Tulsa and the lineup is not messing around: Crescent Window: A supergroup collective pulling together some of Tulsa’s most out-of-the-box musical minds. Local legends doing what they do best, together, in one room. This one is a treat. ELECTROGONG: Kansas City’s Aaron Osborne combining 1930s gong speaker technology, modern modular synthesis, and electroacoustic percussion into ambient atmospheres that feel like they’re arriving from a completely different timeline. The name alone should tell you this is going to be something. Jarvix: Jarvix is an award-winning local music journalist from Oklahoma City who hosts various events and programs under his Make Oklahoma Weirder banner. He also sometimes makes music and/or sounds as a solo artist for which he has won zero awards. Hexpartner: Austin-based multi-instrumentalist, synthesist, and VJ weaving together electroacoustic composition, improvisation, synthesizers, string instruments, layered vocal harmonies, and generative visuals into one fully immersive experience. Has played with Mortiis and The Body. Need we say more? Abbess: Medieval inspired ambient. Renaissance drone. Whatever you want to call it, it’s going to make the room feel ancient and enormous. Come experience it. Three days, three venues, nearly 40 acts. We’ll have more lineup announcements dropping soon so stay tuned! #tulsadit #thingstodointulsa #tulsamusic #experimentalmusic #soundart noisemusic noisetulsa
