…and now let’s talk about that suit.
After trawling through a dirge of boring suits throughout the city I knew I wanted something different for my wedding. So after being recommended by a friend I worked with the team at
@my.morni to design the double breasted, burnt orange, embroidered custom wedding suit of my dreams.
The embroidery on the pocket is lifted straight from
@dsklarz wedding dress, reflecting our love of nature and in particular focusing on leaves.
The embroidery on the lapel and the waistcoat is a peace lily flower, inspired by the plants I grew up with in my parents and grandparents houses. It felt important to bring a little reminder of home and childhood to our special weekend.
I’d like to thank Hardik and Qasim for pushing me to stick with the double breasted approach. It really paid off, and this is a one of a kind piece I will treasure forever. And I also plan to wear it on stage someday!
I combined it with the absolute PERFECT matching shirt and tie combination from
@turnbull_asser . When I walked into their New York store I did not realise the experience I was about to have, and I will tell the story to any who ask. In summary they made me feel like James Bond, Jude Law and Michael Caine all in one stroke. Priceless.
To top it all off, our rings came from
@goldpointbk who have worked with us for two years to make custom rings full of symbolism.
Dani’s emerald is from an heirloom of my family, and the diamonds in my ring come from both our families. 7 diamonds total, with the number 7 symbolising completion and wholeness in Judaism.
I’m incredibly grateful to have felt so incredibly special and me on my wedding day. Thank you to everyone who put time and energy and beauty into these precious things.
