Two years later, after leaving Dakar and now based in Maputo, he returned with a special set for our @tsugiradio show. @djcortega has been shaping dancefloors across Africa, Europe, and the USA for nearly two decades through his vibrant blend of Afrohouse, Afrobeats, and Pan-African electronic sounds. As the co-founder of @electrafrique and @gruva.mz , he continues to build bridges through music and community.
For this special set, he explored the rich sounds of Afro-Lusophone cultures through a carefully curated selection of reworked tracks (both classics and unreleased gems) chosen with love.

Last weekend, as we celebrated ElectrAfrique’s 15 years of life back on our home court @kodanairobi in Nairobi — we also were blessed to welcome one of the most talented rising stars coming out of Mozambique aka our brother @skywhite.ofc — who is making a strong name for himself touring along afro house heavyweights incl Black Coffee, Nitefreak and may more. One of his most recent projects with our bro @doubledrop.ofc called Joga is channeling the streets of Rio de Janeiro and their rough Baile funk sound into an infectious afro house banger that’s been doing the rounds from Jozi to Ibiza and everywhere in between.
