There was a bit of a calamity at the relaunch of Electra early this morning. 😐😐
A bystander observed this rather awkward craning-in situation at a slipway near Camball Park - where a very large bungee twanged, causing Electra to nose-dive precariously into the canal. 😉
Mr. Oker from J. Oker Crane Co, exclaimed that "It's not launching - but a splashdown with style!" 🤣
The good news is that no white rabbits were harmed during this dramatic launch and the water boiler didn't spill anything, so everyone was able to have a nice cup of tea. 🍵
After a few more test runs up and down the canal, Electra will start cruising again from 16th April. Watch this space for updates.
