I told myself I was going to take a short video everyday to document my outfits for Me Made May - but I only lasted one day before packing that goal in. So instead, please enjoy all the labels I sewed into my garments recently. I am doing a market stall in June in an attempt to clear out old samples (hence all the labelling). Anything to avoid having to upload them onto Etsy! I'll keep all my Perth friends updated on the details closer to the date and hopefully I'll see some of you there 🤠 Cover photo: Somerfield Coat in a gorgeous printed silk from @wovenstoriestextiles

I've updated the Cornell Shirt! Previous customers will receive a link to the new files, but please feel free to email me if you purchased via Etsy as I'm unable to automatically update your purchases there. I took the opportunity before this pattern goes out for printing to do a bit of a graphics refresh. And also to make a few small changes to the pattern itself. What has changed: - Added some more room to the sleeve at the bicep and forearm. - Shortened the front placket on View A - Less buttons suggested for both views - Moved the chest pocket in a bit towards the centre. Took the side seams up a few centimetres to change the curve of the hem. Hope you enjoy! This sample is made up in a soft washed linen I got years ago from @blackbirdfabrics - not sure if that colourway is still available but I had a look and the other colour options are NICE 👌

I'm on a roll with the updates! This time we have the Wolfe Top. What's new, you ask? Well, there's a short sleeve option, as shown here on the lovely Nelana. I've added a bit more room in the biceps for sizes I to N Took the waist in 2cm for View A And the instructions have been updated to include fabric consumption and layouts for the new short sleeve addition. Existing customers have been sent an email with a link to the new files. Please send me an email if you purchased yours via Etsy though, as I cannot automatically update files on there! Enjoy! Only half joking. This fabric is GORGEOUS but sometimes you just gotta call it before you get too far in. I had plans to sew up a Gibbons Slip Dress for my new pattern envelope cover photos, but I got one bias bound seam in and realised I'd be better off using this fabric for something with minimal seams and a neck facing. So I guess in a way that is my top tip for working with slippery fabrics : choose your pattern wisely.

Yesterdays IG post? I done did put it in blog form on my website. Carey Top and Skirt: Changing the pattern into a dress. And here's a mini dress I made myself from some leftover fabric from a shoot. I didn't have a suitable zip, so it hasn't been finished/hemmed yet - but it's cute, right!? I used a washed denim I found on Etsy from a store called CapCapArt. #careydress #elbetextiles #patternhack

I'm a few months behind on my blog posts, but I thought I'd sneak in an IG tutorial in slide form. How do we feel about this format? It'll only take 2 or more of you to ask for more of these and my people pleasing tendencies will kick into gear. I present to you: How to make the Carey Top and Skirt pattern into a dress pattern. It's actually super easy (as you will see when you flick through). Huzzah. Once I sew up a sample and get some photos, I will make this into a post on my website. I also have plans to make an A line mini dress version for some winter layering potential. Stay tuned. #careytop #careyskirt #elbetextiles

Hello friends - if you've purchased the Duplantier Dress previously, you should have just recieved an email with a link to the updated files. If not, please check your spam folder as it may be hiding in there. Or shoot me an email if you ordered via Etsy as I'm unable to automatically send updates on that app. Nothing major has changed, but as I get ready for my next lot of printed patterns I am revisiting my older designs and giving the graphics a lil tweak to stay cohesive. The only change to the pattern itself is the neckline has been raised 1cm (3/8in). I have also reformatted the armscye notches to sit in a neater way. I have also changed the size of the A4/Letter home printout boxes to be slightly bigger, so now there are less pages to print. I have also separated the B cup and C/D cup pieces so there are only 2 A0 pages to print at copy shop (whereas before I had both cup size options together and there were 3 pages). The instructions have been updated to reflect these changes and I've also added in more imperial conversions where there was only metric. Ultimately the old pattern is still good to go if you don't want to re-print - but new users should hopefully find this new version even more streamlined! Hey mates. In case you hadn't seen the list on my website, thought I'd pop a list of stockists here of my paper patterns! As you may know, this was my first run and I kept numbers limited to test the waters. So best to go grab a copy from these fine establishments while you can 🤠 @cloth_edit @dahliasewciety @wearethefabricstore @houseofcloth @patternscissorsfrock @joans.finefabric @missmaudenz @rickracktextiles @the.sewing.club

A classic shirt—with a twist at the waist. The Townsend Shirt by @elbe_textiles pairs crisp shirting details with a wrap tie that begins at center front and winds to the back. Choose a collar or faced neckline, keep the cut-on sleeves, and let the silhouette do the work. Sized A–N with generous ease, it’s a versatile style that works beautifully in linen, cotton poplin, or even fine-wale corduroy. Clean construction and thoughtful drafting make it approachable for anyone comfortable sewing a collared shirt.
