Ozzy Cruz speaks to one of the hardest truths about accountability. Sometimes the harm is too deep that the person you hurt may never forgive you. And that’s part of the work. As Ozzy sys, “The impact of the harm might be too much for someone to forgive you.” Accountability isn’t about being forgiven, it’s about accepting the outcome you contributed to and choosing to be a different person. Vanessa Stinnett first walked through our doors as a young mother fleeing a dangerous situation. She vividly remembers the rainy day she was met with care, compassion, and support. Today, that same care continues to guide the way we show up for the women at our center every single day. ✨ Healing happens in many ways. Sometimes, it begins with simply being cared for and that is why on May 12, ELAWC is hosting a special day of healing and appreciation for survivors and mother figures in our community. The day will include: • Hair, makeup, and nail services 💅🏼🎀 • Yoga and wellness activities 🧘🏻‍♀️ • Confidence styling 👗 • Light brunch and refreshments ☕️🧁 • Sephora self-care gift bags bag 🛍️ It is not too late to consider giving the gift of healing to a survivor 🫂 (link in bio) ⭐️ Special thanks to some of our supporters @jairdoeshair @neill @sephoralife

🌸We recognize the women rebuilding after violence and trauma. The caregivers who continue giving of themselves while balancing responsibility, grief, and uncertainty. We honor the resilience it takes to continue nurturing others while healing ourselves.✨ Healing happens in many ways. Sometimes, it begins with simply being cared for — with moments of rest, dignity, connection, and joy.🌸 Give the gift of healing today ✨ link in bio . .

✨ Stylist. Survivor. Advocate. ✨ Ashley Higgins shares the power of a supportive mother for a survivor: a mother’s love can empower, guide through pain, and become a source of strength and healing. 🤍🌷 We honor the mothers and mother figures who show up with compassion, courage, and unconditional love in their child’s vulnerable moments 💐✨ As we celebrate the maternal figures and wisdom keepers this month of May, please consider donating to ELAWC in honor of the ones you love. (Link in bio) Happy Mother’s Day! 🌸 🎥 @jonwithglasses
