The newest Catching Up With w/ Andy Bodes on East Village Radio is up on the archive! (link in bio) Somehow, another beautiful, in my opinion, radio program in the books. Songs that are love adjacent - with plenty of murk and muck amidst the radiance. Super fun show with plenty of the standard rumination, please give it a spin! <3 Catching Up With W/ Andy Bodes on East Village Radio Playlist 02/14/26 Lau Noah “Tallula 1” Lonely Universe “Passenger” Lau Noah “Someone to Sing Me To Sleep” P.G. 2025 was another sketchy year in many ways, but music always comes through! here are some of my fav tracks I heard this year, played on the last two episodes of Press Colour for 2025…. only had 4 hours to fit it all in so obviously some bangers have been omitted… exciting to think what music will exist this time next year that none of us have heard yet 🌞

This labour of love has finally come into its form - 50 little books of inspirational, intelligent and kind musicians sharing their process, knowledge and insights with whoever wants to learn, read and try it themselves. (Below para shortened because lack of characters left!!) To think artists like Alex Somers - who has scored some of my favourite tv & movies (Hang The DJ Black Mirror!) but more importantly created Riceboy Sleeps that I have listened to most nights before bed since its release in 2009; Nabihah Iqbal - who’s latest album was rinsed on repeat and allowed me to discover all her previous genius work; Louisahhh - who’s vocals have changed and inspired what I do for Rebel Yell ever since I heard it; Tlya X An + Jock Fox - performers I was lucky to meet on tour in the UK who influenced me with their stage presence and incredible song writing; local legends Tralala Blip - in which we’ve been playing shows together since my inception and I’m constantly in awe of; Tongue Dissolver + Gift Exchange - two Australian acts constantly pushing the boundaries of electronic music to the most new and exciting levels; Ultraflex + Xiu Pill - Icelandic icons literally says it all; Xtr Human + In Atlas - both kind and fkn hard out performers I was fortunate to meet last year in Sweden; Teether + Cong Josie - performers who shine through the stage without the need for gear at all; Theo Gold + Vanessa Worm - who’s sets at Camp A Low Hum transfixed me and I’ve been listening ever since; Mala Herba - a goddess of knowledge and talent, stages we’ve shared in both our countries of residence over many many years; Infernal Hag + Night in Athens - two angels who turn evil in the best way on stage that I was so lucky to witness in the UK thanks to Yaws - back page riot of the zine and most likely the reason I do what I do; they all said yes to be in this project and share themselves, their process and their work with me and you all, it is such a proud moment for me. I can’t wait to take it further. Let’s launch at @prop.records July 19th and @capers.thornbury August 3rd. Pic 12 baby me 2017 zine 💟 Limited to 50 printed copies $20 each | DM me your email for a free PDF!

Our Friends Electric at @lazythinking__ last month was a dream lineup to curate. These are artists I couldn’t not stand up the front and move or pay all my attention to. All class acts. Thank you to everyone involved and to those who came to support x The zines weren’t quite ready, however this July at @prop.records I’m going in for part II! Link in bio for pre orders of the zine and pick up is available July 19 at Prop Records or via post. Acts TBA but please save the date to celebrate the launch of this little passion project on July 19. Our Friends Electric II is a continuation of a project first launched in 2017 — a way to document, connect, and share the experiences of artists working within the DIY electronic music space. The zine is for anyone looking to start making electronic music, further develop their process or just anyone with an interest in DIY music. The 2025 edition features more international artists this time, with a sprinkling of epic local artists, each answering the same set of questions about how they write, make, and perform music. It’s a collection of honest, thoughtful, and often unexpected insights into the varied approaches that exist across DIY electronic music. Featured artists include: Alex Somers, Louisahhh, KUCKA, Vanessa Worm, Croatian Amor, Tongue Dissolver, Gift Exchange, and many others. Every pre-order includes a free digital copy of the original 2017 zine, which highlighted key voices from the Australian underground at the time — including Lucy Cliché, Orion, Scraps, Pillow Pro, and more.

Ela Stiles #LiveatRRR | We loved having @elastiles in the Triple R Performance Space recently! Ela performed tracks from her recent Triple R Album of the Week Not A Stranger, alongside new material. Last week’s tracklist gets the Helvetica treatment. So much great new music, including a new @stereolabgroop album??? What???? Personal fave of the week is the new Forth Wanderers track which has now entered the 2ser rotation. The new Smerz album is also amazing and I’ll likely continue playing songs from it in the coming weeks. As always the landscape of good local music is vast and fruitful. Upcoming gigs from the likes of @beryls_peril @belvedeer_ and @egoismx On the air again tonight from 6-8. Have discovered much new music in the last week, tune in to hear it ‼️
