Celebrating 40 feels like such a gift ā especially because there was a time that I wasnāt sure Iād make it here. These annual April birthday trips have become such a meaningful reminder of how far Iāve come and how much there is to be grateful for.
Entering this new decade surrounded by family, doing work that I love alongside coworkers that are true friends, and stepping into a future that feels full of possibility is not something that I take for granted. Deeply thankful for sobriety, for Godās grace, and for being saved for whatever purpose He has in store.
Hereās to 40- full of gratitude, hope, and a heart that knows just how blessed this journey truly is.
Highly recommend a tropical trip in January to break up the Ohio winter. Being on the beach with two of my siblings (and sharing a suite) brought me right back to our childhood in Floridaš„°
I know itās cold now, but it gave me hope that summer is indeed coming if we can survive just a little longerā¦

It doesnāt seem like only a year ago that I was blessed to be a part of executing the weddings of both of these beautiful ladies. Text from Courtney: Hi! Hypothetically, if a mutual person of ours was having a babyā¦š I was instantly excited to contribute to the baby shower for Alexis & Ben. Two previous brides, one planning and one having a baby, YES! I love a āsignā that can double as nursery art and I was able to reuse the flocked trees my sister purchased for our home to create a wintery vibe. It was actually super cold outside, so the ābaby itās cold outsideā theme was very appropriate.
Wedding days are full of emotion, and sometimes chaos, and itās a unique relationship that forms in the process. Loved seeing familiar faces again, catching up and celebrating the arrival of baby Staysniak. Love you guys!

2024 taught me the importance of cherishing every experience, no matter how big or small. Time truly flies and itās most obvious when I look back at pictures of my niece and nephews (shoutout to baby Asher, new in 2024). Iām beyond thankful for my family and friends who I get to journey through life with.
Iām grateful for the couples that allowed me to be a part of their big day, the āfriendorsā (my favorite term from @raisinghenrys6 ) that make work such a pleasure and the relationships that have been built along the way.
I thank God every day for the life that he has blessed me with and pray that he would use me in whatever way He sees fit. A talented therapist once told me early on in my sobriety, āMake plans, donāt plan the outcome.ā I find peace in not always knowing what tomorrow may bring because life has taught me that Godās plan is way better than anything I could dream up. So Iāve got some plans, but weāll see what happens nextā¦

I love a handmade gift and gifting ornaments to the family has become a tradition. Funny, I actually went with nutcrackers because I procrastinated this year and it took more time then anticipatedš Fortunately, the Smith family usually gets their delivery in July when we visit Georgia.
