this project is about my special perception of the power of honesty and love. this series of photo was inspired by the Wim Wenders film “Paris, Texas” and my particular impression of the “indie sleaze” — style that I grew up with. distinct attention is paid to shoes - shoes that do not fit; they are as big, sharp and uncomfortable as what I encounter and continue to walk. and also lace and black color - two inseparable things.
this is not about mourning or loss. It’s about dressing yourself in black like armor or being bare-shouldered in the “desert”, but still wearing dirty gloves.
after all, “sometimes keeping yourself in control is just putting on gloves”
