SAM is inspired by the arid landscape of Thar. We translated the design on handwoven Kota from Rajasthan and cotton silk from Bengal. Motifs drawn from desert plants and everyday objects are combined to build the embroidered narrative.
The palette moves through sand, lime, faded pinks, haldi yellows, indigo, and washed blues. The colors appear sun-softened and lived-in, as if shaped gradually by time spent in the desert.
