Over 10 years ago, we had the privilege of building this kitchen. Even back then, we cared deeply about creating spaces that were not only beautiful, but functional and meaningful for the families living in them.
The kitchen really is the heart of the home. It’s where everyday life happens. Morning coffee, family dinners, conversations after long days, holidays, and memories made for years to come.

We love this laundry room. So much function, so much thought, and honestly… just a really good feeling space. ✨️
Every detail was worked through with the client to get it just right. From the slate tile, to the black accents in the hardware, plumbing, and hanging rod, to the honed black granite and titanium appliance finish… it all layers together in a way that feels clean, grounded, and a little elevated.
The soft taupe inset cabinetry keeps it light, while giving plenty of storage. There’s space to fold, a rod for hanging, room for baskets, and even a built-in desk with mail slots and a corkboard to handle the day-to-day.
It’s one of those spaces that quietly supports your week… and makes it a little more enjoyable!

🔍️There are so many details that will never be seen once the home is finished. But they matter!
Here’s one example… when you add exterior insulation like ZIP panels, you’re not just thinking about energy performance. You’re thinking through every connection point, even something as simple as a doorway.
How does the door get fastened properly?
How do you keep it solid?
How do you still protect the air and water barrier?
That’s where details like this come in.
We widened the opening slightly so we could carry a solid nailing surface all the way through, then sealed everything the right way.
It’s a small move.
But it’s one of many that adds up to a home that feels tighter, performs better, and holds up over time!
The details you don’t see are just as important as the ones you do.

There’s a lot that goes into a kitchen like this. ✨️
We spend a lot of time thinking through how it’s actually going to live day to day… the layout, the spacing, where things land, how it flows when you’re using it.
Then it’s all the layers… cabinet finish, wood grain, hardware, lighting, what’s seen and what’s hidden. Even down to hidden outlets, what’s inside the drawers, and how everything is organized.
It doesn’t just come together at the end. This is all thought through early on so it feels right when it’s done!
