In this song, we use a bird whistle for the first time.
It is said that in Mexico, people use it to converse with birds.

At this upcoming gig, we will collaborate with film director YE and his work.
Since 2021, Ye has been documenting a piano training program for children with leukemia in Yanjiao. He followed a few of the kids closely, visiting their homes and capturing the everyday lives of them and their families in the Beijing outskirts and the Yanjiao area. We’ll be adding rhythm and melody to these ordinary moments, trying to open up a new dimension between the visuals and the music.

Our new song is a reinterpretation of the children’s song “Water MooMoo,” which is popular in Beijing area. It also incorporates imaginative rap verses from 小老虎J-fever. The phrase “Water MooMoo” actually refers to a snail, and the original lyrics of the children‘s song go: ”Water moomoo, water moomoo, first show its horn, then show its head.“ This describes how, after the rain, snails slowly extend their tentacles on the alley walls.
When creating the album cover, we tried many different photos, and all of them felt pretty good. Taking advantage of the music video, we brought them all out, like a pile of old photos spread on a table. The snails crawling over fragments of the city also showcase the countless possibilities for an album cover image.

我们是 Fruityshop Records 水果唱片。即将在六月一日儿童节这天迎来今年的第一个黑胶发行 —— 一天世界 eitisga 和小老虎联手创作的单曲《水牛儿 WATER MOOMOO》。
一段时间之前，认识了一天世界eitisga，他们用“沙沙音乐”来描述自己的风格。那是什么样的音乐啊？抱着这样的好奇被一次又一次的卷入了沙沙声里 —— 那是电影场景里真实世界的声音。
《水牛儿》是北京器乐乐队一天世界 eitisga 的全新单曲。这首歌改编自北京口口相传的儿歌，并邀请到北京的说唱歌手/自由艺术家小老虎 J-Fever 将他天马行空充满想象力的歌词融入到音乐当中。水牛儿的意思是蜗牛，儿歌中原本的歌词是：“水牛儿，水牛儿，先出犄角后出头。”意指下过雨后，吸在胡同墙壁上的蜗牛慢慢伸出触角。乐队用他们自己的方式将这首民间歌曲改编成当下流行的摇滚音乐，并融入都市律动元素，充满童趣与怀旧的同时也是乐队对在地艺术与泛东方文化视角的一次自我讨论。
We are Fruityshop Records, and on Children’s Day（June 1st）, we’re excited to release our first 7-inch vinyl of 2025 — WATER MOOMOO, a new single by Beijing instrumental band 一天世界eitisga in collaboration with rapper J-Fever.
We met 一天世界eitisga sometime ago, and they described their music as shasha music. What exactly is shasha? Out of curiosity, we kept coming back to their sound — like scenes from a film, but composed entirely of the real world’s ambient noises and emotions.
WATER MOOMOO is a reinterpretation of a traditional children’s rhyme passed down through generations in Beijing. The original lyrics go: “Shui niu’er, shui niu’er, xian chu jijiao hou chutou,” which translates to: “Snail, snail, horns first, head later.” It paints a slow and poetic picture of a snail crawling out after the rain, antennae cautiously probing the air.
一天世界eitisga reimagines this folk rhyme through the lens of modern rock and urban groove, while J-Fever infuses the track with his wild, whimsical lyricism. The result is a playful yet nostalgic piece — an exploration of local culture, folklore, and a broader pan-Asian artistic perspective, all filtered through the band’s unique sonic language.
