peter has been a strong supporter even before he was whippled at 4.0l. after some changes like dropping that mid length header for a true long tube header and further finessing that tune with a fine grit polish. stock motor, 7psi, 4.0l whipple, oh baby let's see those double lines! we thank peter for his ongoing support of us over the years!
715whp 702 ft.lbs. Dyno wouldn't let us run 1:1 due to speed constraints but likely we would see 10-25 ft lbs more torque as the rpms flew by too fast for the ECU to effectively deliver ignition timing as the datalogs showed. it isn't worth risking engine safety for us to move up the specific map that would deliver us more power under 4.5k when acceleration is too fast for the ECU. transverse loads on the factory connecting rods at lower rpms aren't worth the bragging rights.
darryl has secured being the fastest 2.3l whipple powered c63 ever! your basic build, no meth, no icebox, just more boost with our 51mm pulley and 100 octane. yes, no E85 here. proof that the right parts and the right tuning can go a long way. 👀 this car is up kept meticulously.
for m156 powered w204's of "active posts", the second fastest without being m157 and awd as the top 3 are. after that is an m156 on full E85 and 2.3l magneuson which has a higher flow. what a great way to end the season. 💪
congratulations Darryl for logging the 2nd fastest time ever recorded for a 2.3L whipple powered c63 with full interior, standard boost, and no meth! factory motor, driven to and from the race track and a daily driver! 100 octane is showing promise and I'm sure we'll be ready to further lower those times in the near future!
