I finished this one yesterday Vintage Summer Meadow and I love how it’s turned out. The wide border frames the colours and I love the vintage feel. The yarn is beautiful and the drape is just perfect. Summer in a blanket!

Taking a quick break from housework, washing and planting up a couple of new plants to show you my finished blanket with its I cord border
Some projects you just don’t want to finish because you love working on it so much. I started this way back in January 2023 so it’s already vintage!
A few weeks ago finally worked out how to add the I cord border with help from a clever video tutorial by Laurelin @snufflebeanyarn honestly can’t believe I didn’t look this up ages ago
It took me a week in my evenings and I enjoyed every stitch and I’m in love with the result. Can’t wait to use this technique again
I used the Knitted mitre blanket pattern with a lot of help from Fiona @sewhappycreativ and her blog

Each 50g of @kingcoleltd Homespun Aran has 110 metres with a beautiful merino alpaca mix giving a soft yarn that knits on 4mm & 5mm knitting needles with a good drape
This time I’ve chosen ice blue, a kind of duck egg blue grey with flecks of mustard and black - there’s 11 colours to choose from.
