Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Jule has been photographing her Ukrainian friends everyday life, their new reality in the face of war.
She wanted to capture their strength and their resilience. The way they build new routines, recovered and took back a sense of “normality“, the way they created moments of happiness and love in the midst of all the madness and violence.
In a way this is a sequel to her previous book „It was snowing outside“, 2021, following some of the same protagonists. The book is completed by personal texts and notes contributed by the protagonists Anastasiia Kaminska, Oleksii Stislavsky and Vitalii Matukhno. Thank you for trusting us with these vulnerable, sometimes brutally honest and open texts.
There are still 48 hours left to collect the remaining 2700 Euro for Jules new book. It will be very close but we are still optimistic<3
