Thank you dearly from the bottom of my sole for supporting a full night of music and seeing this new incarnation of Ego Stravinsky!! With only 1½ rehearsal @riccardobelletta and my 4-track help make some magical moments happen! Loved getting to play my tape loops live for the pieces as well, it only gets better. Also thank you for letting me get weird. Shout out Azul and TYBG @lilbisgod Looking forward to the next digs and happenings while I'm still in the States. So stay tuned and I love you 🍊🍊🍊 For the full performance go check out my YT channel! #neoclassical #carnatic #tybg

What can I say? Thank you to @bridgeandtunnelbrewery for having us workshop this older material of mine with the moniker The Memphis Pattern. Shout out to my dear friends @maxstratyner and @_toby_lynch for breathing a new life into this ages old songs. My old @blindshadyband self would of been proud. Thank you everyone who showed support to us and @palmwaltzmusic and stayed engaged while I tripped my fingers around the fretboard. My body is all chewed up from dancing around on my knees and jerking my body around. Reach out if you want the full video/recording and stay tuned for more #rocknroll 😎

Looking forward to a productive year of music releases with more layers than a splice of paklava. Since I finished the idea of this new piece, currently titled Tulpa, I now have time to let it breathe and give the hired musicians (and my bank) enough time to work on recording this dummy hard music. Looks like it's going to be my most maximum composition! Now aside from that I'm going to be releasing the first Ego Stravinsky drop titled Dagda. A four part metal response piece of @little.bits.of.you on drums and myself on guitar and tapes. Maybe at some point in future we'll get some shows in this year performing it. Other releases will be a finished studio take of the modal jazz/ambient minimalist piece Siddhi Bike, compilation volumes of K-33 Records, re-releases of Happiness Is A Short Sad Song, I Think Therefore I Suffer. While finally dropping demos of Arrive As Friends Leave As Strangers, and Remembered So Much That You Forgot Everything. And lastly I will be writing and recording a new instrumental performance piece titled Two Musicians And A Producer. Ontop of all of this I am also loving my worklife, rebuilding the garden, and have some special shows coming to the Bushwick MSG and around. Love you 🍊 I. Siddhi Bike IV solo practice II. Dagda II III. Tulpa II IV. Tulpa VIII #notenoughtime

Looking forward to kicking off this psyche rhythm n blues band, Memphis Pattern, a month from today! Dusting off tunes I wrote when I was traveling around the South and Midwest at 18 and material I used to knock around with @blindshadyband Coming April 29th at @bridgeandtunnelbrewery Syd Lewis & The Memphis Pattern will consist of @_toby_lynch on bass and @maxstratyner on drums with also a special set from @palmwaltzmusic Excited to start doing these one-two band bills so there's more time to experiment and focus on the music. Nice to be playing standard tuning and with a pick again. A lot of rolling on the ground and looking less at the instrument I'm playing. In need of less itricacies, more back-beat energy demons. $10 21+

First off I want to thank @gogoddessbeauty for the grand experience and excellent work for this transformation. Know each other for a while and wanted to grace her skills with this task especially since my examples were late-18th Century paintings. Grateful that she documented the process so I could put this poem I wrote for the performance. Very happy and highly recommend hitting Maria up to schedule an appointment in LES Here's the last couple of chunks from the prose #Titus : The Titus cut was a women's short hairstyle from the end of the 18th Century. Refered also as a guillotine haircut. Inspired by the actor François-Joseph Talma's portrayal of Titus in a Parisian production of Voltaire's Brutus. This was a radical, yet classical hair due, as opposed to the aristocratically influence of powdered wigs and over the top hair designs. A humorously dark nod to the French Revolution and the Reign Of Terror. When the scissors cut the memory, one groove to the next length. I'll renounce this illusion of reality. I'll renounce the infrastructure of stance. Either it being capital or commonwealth socialites. What a ritual, profoundly symbolizing the death of self! Death of worldly life! What an art of blending in like a tree in a thicket. Taking refuge in the path of liberation from suffering. Slouching towards Nirvana on trams, taxis, buses. Hiding in communities, behind those taller than me in spirit. Taking refuge in sought truth. The weight of Samsara burdens my ears, tongue, and frontal lobe. Ironically, I never had an eye for jewels, let alone three! Have I always been my own teacher and unconscious student? #tisarana

Thank you so much for all the love last night and everyone ripped great sets. Here's us doing the break crescendo in Happiness Is A Short Sad Song pt. II Lots of craic playing guitar with my hair, fiddling with tapes, spooking newcomers out, and a lot of one-hand soloing like this clip #guitartapping #neoclassical

Our new album “In the Forest Singing Sorrowless” was made beautiful by the talents of incredible musicians. Cellist @cbrowncello elevated every song with his soaring cellos, multi-instrumentalist @egostravinsky created incredible textures and nuance with his guitar, piano and vocals and @travellersrest_pdx added epic ambient synths and vocals. - You can hear all of these amazing musicians create together in our song “Misty Mountains”. - Eternal gratitude to working with these incredible musicians who make making music so inspiring. Thank you so so much. - Photo 1 and 2 by @sacredhalla Photo 3 by @codyketophotography Photo 4 by @alicanors_
