I’m always just showing you the good parts, really. (That’s mostly what you’ll get here, the stuff I want to remember.) There are sometimes really bad parts, too.
Like that reel I made thinking only y’all would see it, and then it fed the right-wing sit-in-your-car-and-call-trans-people-crazy vlogosphere. The first time I say out-loud to the world that I’m a woman, and so many people had to say, “Nuh-unh! No you ain’t!” It had its intended purpose: I have been intimidated. That’s been happening my whole life.
But I’m still out here doing this the only way I’m willing to. They can scare me, they can call me names, they can question my identity and sanity for examining my life more fully than they’re willing to examine their own. And I will continue to be out here, just the faggiest, swishiest, gayest brick of trans woman, ready to call them a motherfucker right to their ugly goddamn faces.

He didn’t even know I was already constructing a Shirley Jackson-style story, chockablock full of locals with unfriendly faces and leering men with unclear intentions, for my walk through the city.
Thanks for the creative fodder, FUCKFACE. ☺️
Y’all!
This has been a terrifying year in so many ways. You don’t need me to list them. But it’s revealed so many glimmers of hope and sparkles of joy in my queer little life. And that’s largely because of the people in it.
At 50, I’ve finally fallen in love with myself, and there’s not a goddamn thing you can do about it. (Amateur Pro Tip: start to be gentle with the individual broken pieces, and pretty soon you might find you love your whole damn self. We’re all a bunch of damaged parts that deserve love and protection.)
Anyway, if you’re reading this, I love you. Probably. Likely. Almost certainly. For sure.
Here’s an extra-long, super-crunchety, rip-crackety thread pull process video of the painting I made last night and peeled just now. If it’s too long, too crunchety, or gives you some other ick, move along, little dogie. Life is short. Watch something you like, cutie.
I love to set up a little surprise for myself before I go to bed by making a painting that will continue to transform on its own as I dream six feet away. (Pro tip from an amateur with ADHD: put on an audiobook, hon. It helps me focus to have the filters of the audio and narrative that I don’t interact with visually. Maybe that will work for you. 🤷🏻♀️)
Anyway, love you. I hope you all have of what you need and more.
