We welcome more new kids in the program. The Hatz biplane is seeing cables being strung to the tail for the vertical and horizontal stabilizers and the fuel tank is getting its top.

After some cushions and upholstery the pilot will sit a bit higher, but we've made seat frames! Progress on the fuel tank is looking good too. And if that news isn't big enough for you, we've received a donation of a Cobra to sell and raise funds! Just a bit of love and she'll be ready to go to auction.

We are incredibly lucky to have NASA Astronaut Jeff Ashby speaks to our group, both on his amazing career and on some of the paths our kids can take. Plus the front cowling metal is getting very close to final install while work continues on the wings.

Today was a Young Eagles flight day so nine young kids tasted flight for their first time. Meanwhile (and after the flights) in the hangar work on the wings leading edge continues while some learn how to buck rivets.

Mentors get their work checked before they teach the kids while the kids continue on the many different projects in the plane.

Out Flying and In The Hangar: We took advantage of great winter weather to get some kids out to experience flying, plus some of the planes they see in the maintenance hangar.
