Houston Rockets kept their season alive with a 99-93 win over LA Lakers in LA. Lakers Austin Reaves returned to the lineup after being on the injury list for almost a month. Rockets defense and offense showed up and stayed in the final minutes of game time sending the teams back to Houston for Game 6. #onassignment for @houstonchron #lalakers #rockets #nbaplayoffs
Houston Rockets kept from being swept in the playoffs be defeating LA Lakers in a decisive 115-96 win in Game 4 at the Toyota Center on Sunday. With KD out with an injured ankle, the rest of the team rose to the challenge, especially Alperen Şengün who gave an inspirational speech to the team during their shoot around.
Houston couldn’t hold onto a late lead and ended up losing in OT to the LA Lakers 112-108. Falling behind 3-0 in the series as they head to Sunday’s home game in a best of 7 series. On assignment for @houstonchron
Well that was messy. Rockets fall to the Lakers 107-98 in the first game of the Western Conference playoff game. Kevin Durant, who was questionable before the game, sat out. Rockets came within two, but LeBron James sunk a three and the hopes of Rockets fans for a playoff lead. #onassignment for @houstonchron
Very excited about the safe splash down of Artemis II. One of my favorite photos after John Glenn’s splash down-before talking to anyone he recorded his thoughts on a Reel-to-Reel, kicking it in his Converse.
Took this photo a couple of months ago & it still lingers in my mind. An infant, who’s waiting for a heart-transplant, holds onto the hand of a nurse practitioner as she holds a stethoscope to his chest. Story was about pediatric cardio medical professionals who survived heart surgeries when they were children.
Attendees for Space Center Houston’s Artemis II launch viewing party arrived with reserved optimism. For many, this is the first time in their lifetime to witness such a launch. As the countdown continued, everyone’s eyes were glued to the huge screen. When it became more clear the launch was successful, cheering overtook the crowd. Hoping the rest of the mission is a sure shot.
It’s been chilly but thankfully fairly uneventful freeze here in Houston. It’s probably been 5 years since I’ve seen 610 so empty! #onassignment for @houstonchron
About last night…Rockets defeated the Chicago Bulls 119-113 win, by pulling away in the final minutes of game action. KD stepped up the tempo with this dunk to put the Rockets ahead and Jabari Smith Jr & Amen Thompson answered in kind.
Monday night’s Rockets game had all the feels as the Houston Rockets came from behind to defeat the Phoenix Suns 100-97. From KD facing his old team, returning players, shot clock/scoreboard issues, last second clutch plays & a sideline visit from Astro’s latest pitcher acquisition: Tatsuya Imai!
