Last night was one of those experiences that’s hard to put into words. So I’ll let the pictures do the majority of the talking. @sageelsesser is truly phenomenal at what he does. I could have watched him perform for hours. And the best part of the show was seeing him connect with his fans, namely the Black folks in the crowd. Made my heart smile.
Major thanks to @kanyessa for giving me the opportunity to capture this magic and shoutout to @cinemasai for the assist. As always, I’m incredibly grateful.
“Do you wanna live your life and create a legacy of tumult and chaos? And then what happens? Something happens one day and you’re not there anymore. That’s tragic, but the real tragedy is this person wasn’t even able to acknowledge the good and the positive around them, and take in whatever happiness they can achieve—enjoy these little moments.”
Always the inspiration. Love ya, G🖤
I felt so much love from my favorite people yesterday and that’s the best birthday present this old broad could have asked for. You reminded me how blessed I am to have this life. Thank you for making 43 already feel so special. I love you all❤️
“Moving steadily, they reached the cabin, already leaking from the wood ceiling, hoping no one heard the screams. But perhaps they heard the reckoning through the storm, perhaps it was a symphony to them as well. Stillness from the souls, Charity thought, is also rebellion. After all, even the Psalms spoke of silence: Be still, and know that I am God. Stillness was not surrender; it was a trust that the scales would balance in their own time.”
