Due to popular demand, here is part 2 of my equipment.
đ§ Headphones
I am still using the first hp I have bought when I started uni, the
@audiotechnicaemea ATH-M50x. Great price for such a pro quality! They work well both in studio and on set but on long production days they can get quite heavy.
đPower supply
Using AA batteries on a MixPre will allow you to barely set up your kit before you have to swap them. While I know there is the option to buy a mount for a proper battery, my budget option is to use the USB-C port of the mix pre and power it up through this
@anker_official power bank! Itâs very durable and I normally donât even use it all for a whole day (depending on how many mics/P48V are on).
đ Mic Pouches
I would love to have every size and color of these
@ursastraps straps. These are waist bands with a mic pouch, a life saver and best way to mic up a talent for comfort and practicality. They are also machine washable for hygiene!
đ Viviana Bag
Those lav mics need to be organized and stored in the tidiest way. The tidier you pack your lavs, the longer they will last!
@vivianasoundsolutions has this series of bags and there is no better way to have all your lavs in one place.
Cables
I always bring some spare xlr to 3.5mm especially when renting extra equipment, you never know what can happen!
Y Audio Cable
Lots of you asked me how do I split the signal from the rode go II. Well, you canât be recording a single file for 2 mics so you need a
@cordial.cables Y cable that plugged into 2 mix pre inputs creates 2 different audio tracks.
