Meet Dimas!! Some of you may recognise him from our socials over the past few months. He was our translator/culture bridge during our mission in Central Sumba last year. Over the week or two we were there, it became apparent who Dimas was destined to be. He grew up in House of Hope, and was raised to be a leader among his people. Many foundations have since used his resourcefulness and compassion to make change, but Dimas remained hopeful that he would one day lead his own Yayasan. After working with him we were sure that god had aligned our paths, as we were actively looking at ways that we could establish EffortX Foundation in Indonesia. From his care of Sisilia, our recent project, to his understanding of how to best support the next generation in Sumba, Dimas has began his journey to the kingdom. We are so excited to be able to officially work side by side. Together, we will achieve our shared vision and make change for the island of Sumba.

One hour from Bali. A world away. We’re not here to drop food and leave. We’re building a system hydroponic farms in schools, local cooks, a sustainable meals programme that keeps feeding kids long after we’re gone. Because children should be living their childhood. Not surviving it. Watch what’s happening on the ground. 👇 effort.giving

We asked Filipino kids a simple choice. $10 for themselves. Or food for children in Indonesia they’ve never met.

We’re going to Sumba in June. One of Indonesia’s most underserved islands. Children there eat plain rice every day, walk 6km to school without shoes, and have never had access to proper nutrition. We’re going to change that with a school meals programme, a hydroponics system, and a team that’s been working on the ground for months. Everything will be documented. Every dollar tracked. Want to be part of it? Donate & track it → effort.giving #sumba #balitrip #balicharity

My team and I at @effortxfoundation are gearing up this year to launch our very own school meals programme on the Island of Sumba, Indonesia. But we need support to make it happen. I’ve made a late decision to jump into my first professional Muay Thai on short notice, in an attempt to help raise awareness for the cause we have committed to. I won’t be the most prepared or as ready as I’d like, but one never is. It is essential, when doubt appears, to do it anyway. Growth is on the other side of that experience. But when I consider all that I’ve seen in Sumba, especially the resilience of the youth there, suddenly it feels a lot less daunting. If you are in a position to donate, the link to my page is in my bio. You’re amazing!! Any shares would be top too. Let’s go 💪

23rd of April. The start of something new. We’re grateful for everyone who showed up to our very first EffortX Run. You could feel it straight away… this wasn’t just about running. We started together at @obsidian.fitnessstudio , moved through the run as one, and ended it with good coffee and food at @butterproteinclub . And somehow, it still felt like there was more to it. Because running for something bigger changes everything. The energy, the conversations, the way people connect. Together we raised 86 meals for the kids in Sumba. Real impact, created in just one morning. We closed it out in the recovery area at @obsidian.fitnessstudio , taking a moment to slow down and take it all in. This was just the beginning. And we’re excited for everything that’s coming next. See you next Thursday!

We’ve been showing up on your feed with stories from Sumba, run clubs, and partner collabs. But we realised we never properly introduced ourselves. So who is EffortX, how does it actually work, and what makes it different from every other giving platform out there? Swipe through. We kept it honest and short. effort.giving

Sumba is one hour from Bali by plane. Most people fly right over it without a second thought. It’s one of Indonesia’s most underserved islands. No clean water in many areas. No fresh food. Children here eat plain rice and cassava every single day not because they choose to, but because fresh vegetables simply don’t reach the island. No protein. No nutrients. Just the bare minimum to survive. And every morning, kids wake up and walk 6km to school. Without shoes. In the heat. On empty stomachs. Not sometimes. Every day. We’ve been working in Sumba for months. We’ve partnered with the local government, delivered livestock, built sustainable water solutions, delivered stationary supplies for students and built hydroponics systems in schools so they can grow their own vegetables. Real work. Real results. But it’s not enough yet. In June, our team is traveling back. This time to launch a full school meals programme, so that children in Sumba can eat a proper meal at school every day for the first time. We’re documenting everything. Every step, every meal, every child. Because the world needs to see this place. If you want to support - link in bio

Join us at @obsidian.fitnessstudio at 6:15am for our first run. After the run, we head to @butterproteinclub and this is where it gets real: Every coffee you buy = 3 meals for children in Sumba. The team at @butterproteinclub is donating 100% of the proceeds to @effortxfoundation ,turning something simple into real impact. To everyone in Canggu/Pererenan, this is your chance to be part of something bigger. Come as you are. Run, walk, connect. Bring a friend, stay for a coffee and let’s make it count
