Embodied Conflicts has been an experience.
Not just a production. Not just a performance. But something that slowly changes you while youâre building it.
Being part of this project as both producer and stage manager meant living in between two worlds at the same time â the chaos behind the curtains and the quiet intensity happening onstage. It meant carrying checklists, solving last-minute problems, managing cues, coordinating people, barely sitting down the entire show while also trying to pause and absorb what the performances were actually saying.
And somewhere in the middle of all that, the project became deeply personal.
You start realizing that âconflictâ isnât always dramatic or obvious. Sometimes itâs internal. Sometimes itâs cultural. Sometimes itâs the pressure of carrying expectations, identities, fears, responsibilities, and emotions all at once while still trying to move forward. Thatâs what made Embodied Conflicts feel different to me. It wasnât pretending to have all the answers. It simply allowed people to confront truths through movement, sound, storytelling, and presence.
What people see onstage is powerful. But what happens behind it is equally human: artists pushing through exhaustion, people trusting each other under pressure, everyone trying to create something honest together. There were moments backstage where Iâd just stop for a few seconds and think, âThis is why art matters.â
Every audience so far has responded differently, and thatâs been one of the best parts of the journey. No two experiences feel the same. Everyone walks away carrying something different with them.
And now, we bring that experience home.
Naga City, youâre next.
