Becoming a member of East End United is a way of saying yes to this community, to the wider United Church of Canada, and to a shared life of faith, justice, and belonging.
At East End United, there are many ways to belong. Some people choose full membership. Others take part regularly in worship, community life, volunteering, or giving, without becoming members. In the United Church, these folks are called adherents, and they are a vital part of our community too. Some people also hold membership in another congregation while making East End United one of their spiritual homes. There is room here for all the ways people come to church.
If East End United feels like a place where your spirit is nourished and your values are reflected, we invite you to take the next step.
Come to worship to check us out(Sundays at the Danforth Multifaith Commons, 310 Danforth; Thursdays at The East End Food Hub, 1470 Gerrard Street East).
Our next Membership Class will take place on Sunday, May 3, after the worship service at the DMC. It will be a chance to share stories, ask questions, learn a little about the United Church, and reflect on how you might want to live your faith in this community. After that gathering, Rev. Bri-anne will contact you to discuss your decision concerning membership (hopefully over tea or coffee!).
Those who choose to become members will be welcomed into the congregation during worship on Pentecost, Sunday, May 24.
