🎶 The Deep End of the Choir 🎶 Our EEU Choir is joined by a love of music and a desire to offer our voices in praise, to increase our musical skills and vocabulary, and, above all, to have a good time! (And we do have a good time!!!) Whether we’re learning new harmonies, sharing laughs at rehearsal, or lifting our voices together on Sunday mornings, choir is a place of community, joy, and connection. There’s always room for more voices in the EEURM Choir. 💙🎵 #UCCan #EastEndUnited #TheresSomethingHappeningHere #danforthtoronto #riverdaletoronto

Do you ever get the feeling that the folks calling the shots just aren’t...paying attention? This Sunday, we explore the things that can only happen if we “cover our ears” and ignore what is right in front of our eyes. Sermon: They covered their ears... with Rev. Bri-anne Swan Anthem: Bye and Bye by Rollo Dillworth with Stephan Ermel and the choir #uccan #eastendunited #TheresSomethingHappeningHere #danforthtoronto #riverdaletoronto

Why would anybody want to be a sheep? In this Sunday’s service, Rev. Bri-anne will tell the story of all the sheep she’s loved before and how sometimes, in order to live into community, we need to first admit that we need it. Sermon: To all the sheep I’ve loved before with Rev. Bri-anne Swan Anthem: Shepherd of My Heart by John Purifoy with Stephan Ermel and the choir #UCCan #EastEndUnited #TheresSomethingHappeningHere #danforthtoronto #riverdaletoronto

Last week, our Sunday school kiddos learned that you don’t need to see to believe something is there! They painted pots and when they got them back this week, they found an Aloe plant had been planted in each pot! #UCCan #EastEndUnited #TheresSomethingHappeningHere #danforthtoronto #riverdaletoronto

This Sunday, we have the pleasure of being joined by Rev. Emily Gordon. She will be marking Earth Sunday and thinking about the story of the Road to Emmaus - in particular, what the two disciples do after they recognize Jesus. What if we imagine ourselves with them on the road from Emmaus, called to collective action as a response of faith? Sermon: Together on the Road to Emmaus with Rev. Emily Gordon Anthem:  Now is the Cool of Day by Jean Richie with Stephan Ermel and the choir #UCCan #EastEndUnited #TheresSomethingHappeningHere #danforthtoronto #riverdaletoronto

Becoming a member of East End United is a way of saying yes to this community, to the wider United Church of Canada, and to a shared life of faith, justice, and belonging. At East End United, there are many ways to belong. Some people choose full membership. Others take part regularly in worship, community life, volunteering, or giving, without becoming members. In the United Church, these folks are called adherents, and they are a vital part of our community too. Some people also hold membership in another congregation while making East End United one of their spiritual homes. There is room here for all the ways people come to church. If East End United feels like a place where your spirit is nourished and your values are reflected, we invite you to take the next step. Come to worship to check us out(Sundays at the Danforth Multifaith Commons, 310 Danforth; Thursdays at The East End Food Hub, 1470 Gerrard Street East). Our next Membership Class will take place on Sunday, May 3, after the worship service at the DMC. It will be a chance to share stories, ask questions, learn a little about the United Church, and reflect on how you might want to live your faith in this community. After that gathering, Rev. Bri-anne will contact you to discuss your decision concerning membership (hopefully over tea or coffee!). Those who choose to become members will be welcomed into the congregation during worship on Pentecost, Sunday, May 24. — ❤️‍🔥There’s something happening here!❤️‍🔥 East End United Regional Ministry is an Affirming (🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️ positive) community of faith, part of the @unitedchurchcanada in Toronto. “Thomas has watched Rome do what Rome does: take a living body and turn it into a warning. He has watched the world do what the world does: crush what it cannot control. So when the others tell him, “We have seen the Lord,” it’s not that Thomas is being obstinate. He says no because he cannot survive another lie. He cannot build his life on a rumour if that rumour cannot carry the truth of an actual wounded body. He wants to know whether the one standing before them is still the one who was broken. He wants the wounds.” — ❤️‍🔥There’s something happening here!❤️‍🔥 East End United Regional Ministry is an Affirming (🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️ positive) community of faith, part of the @unitedchurchcanada in Toronto. What keeps us from believing? What do we need to see before we know that love is possible? This Sunday, we hear a familiar story about grief and doubt, wondering about... something more. Our Ecumenical Good Friday Walk, Friday April 3, 2026. We teamed up with St. Barnabas Anglican Church, Danforth Church, Holy Name Parish, and Riverdale Presbyterian Church to put on an amazing walk exploring the 14 Stations of the Cross. Thank you to the 200 participants who joined us in prayer, reflection, and music. It was a powerful witness to what we can do together in faith and community. ✝️🤝 #uccan #torontochurch #EastEndUnited #TorontoEastRotary #riverdaletoronto #TheresSomethingHappeningHere #GoodFriday #Ecumenical #StationsOfTheCross #FaithInAction
