“Do You Ever Feel A Strange Sadness As Dusk Falls?”
This is one of my favourite Zelda games- the visuals have always been insanely inspiring to me, especially as a teenager with a very well loved copy of the hyrule historia. So I wanted to make an illustration to go alongside my TP Link and Zelda Charmees! I especially enjoyed drawing the odd on goat and link’s starting outfit, ilove the layers of it! Very excited to bring this to MCM next weekend- though I’m definitely feeling the heat when it comes to getting everything ready 😭 am I going to see any of y’all there?

It seems like everyone has done their own version of this painting but whenever I see it all I can think about is my toxic dragon yuri…I know their relationship is so different in the books but the changes they made for the show make it SO juicy and I would be lying if I said I didn’t;t LOVE it! So to go with my other two Westeros inspired prints, I hope you will allow me to be a little indulgent. This was so fun to draw though, I really love how the composition came out and am so excited to get this printed ready for MCM London next week!

Here is my biannual reminder- Dragon Quest IX is my favourite game of all time. It’s actually probably the most influential piece of media when it comes to making me the person I am today. It sounds cringe, but it is the truth. I have finished the main story upwards of 50 times and I am finally, at long last, playing the post game quests after being unable to access them for years. It’s the first game I was ever hooked on properly, the first of oh so many JRPGS and the game that made me want to make games when I grew up! I could,and have on occasion, talk about this game for hours and hours so instead of doing that I wanted to draw a medieval inspired piece for this game! The Observatory has been the lock screen of my phone for years so it was fun to finally draw it out in all its glory!
I’ll be bringing this along to MCM London with me along with my other shiny new prints, stickers and more! I have a humongous booth this year and I’m excited and totally not stressed about setting up castle eethok haha ahahaha ha… BUT for those of you going who are dragon quest fans we are running a DQ Stamp Rally so keep an eye out for info on that in the next week!

I live in a beautiful world where the last season of game of thrones didn’t happen and it’s paradise honestly
Rewatching a knight of the seven kingdoms and getting ready for season 3 of house of the dragon while packing orders and working on prep for MCM London has made me really miss game of thrones- it’s been so nice seeing people talk about it again! So of course to sit proudly alongside my AKOTSK print I thought I’d treat myself to drawing something for the main series- and what I landed on was some fucked up medieval beasts! I wanted to draw something that would capture the vibe of the first few seasons- and while I;d love to do something more character focused in the future, I love how this came out as a dilution of the series as a whole. I need to confess that I still have the books on my tbr list- but I am nothing if not susceptible to moving them to the top of the stack if you bully my even slightly hehe. This print will be joining castle eethok at MCM London in a few weeks so if you’re coming down please come by and chat abt GoT to me because I have no one else to talk to about it!

I’m back from larp which means being launched from the world of pretending to be a bog witch to pretending to be totally unstressed bout MCM being two weeks away! Aaaa! My blankets arrived last week which means I’m juggling packing them out, waiting for restocks and finishing the last few pieces ready for the event…I’m totally fine guys, but I will be so glad for a few weeks off at….some point. It was lovely to sit down and doodle these lil guys out a few weeks ago, it was very fun deciding on how each one would dress and what little accessories they’d have with them. Personally I’d love to see a proper medieval Sylvanian set in the future- a girl can dream….

🌿 Ye Olde Pelican Town 🌿
I actually find stardew equally relaxing and stressful- I wanna go for perfection every time and it kind of makes me a psychopath. But I have really fond memories of playing in 2020 at my parents house, something about the gameplay is so addicting (except for the fishing I have never enjoyed a mechanic less 😤) So it feels fitting to medievalfy it at last! It was very fun translating everyone’s outfits into ones that fit the style- really goes to show how much heavy lifting their colour palettes do in making them recognisable. I’m very excited to add this to the selection of ✨new things ✨ debuting at MCM London next month heeheee

My house is packed with these little things right now- so in between sending out your orders and getting ready for MCM I thought I’d make some of my own based on some of my favourite pieces of medieval art! I think they’d be so cute as a glow in the dark sticker sheet- what do you think? Somehow I feel like this was long overdue! I really enjoy drawing these medieval versions of people- there's something very fun about deciding how to dress them- and yes it took me forever to work out how to incorporate the iconic vest. A lil cooldown I’ve had sketched out for a while- while I cannot take credit for the original joke (of course coming from what we do in the shadows) I’ve wanted to put my own spin on it for a while- and I barely need an excuse to draw some medieval cats. I’m mid-prep for Megacon Birmingham and knee deep in packing orders from the last store opening so it’s nice to have something light and fun to come back to before winding down for the evening.
