‼️ First Maker Announced We’re so excited to share our very first maker: Meike Driessen 🤍 Her work creates space for vulnerability, softness and representation a space where everyone is allowed to exist, exactly as they are. We couldn’t imagine a more meaningful way to start. — Meike Driessen (b. 2000) is a visual artist and photographer living in Rotterdam. Her work revolves around vulnerability and representation. In her works, Meike forms a utopia in which every human being is allowed to exist unconditionally. In this utopia, imagery becomes an ambiguous language in which to feel, reflect and communicate. Jutters (2025) goes U.S.A. 🇺🇸🦅  Next month, me, @s.elinakh and Gonçalo Marcelino (not on insta) will be traveling to the United States to showcase our collaborative work titled "Jutters" during the Conference on Neural Information Processing Systems (NeurIPS) in San Diego, CA. Our work is part of the NeurIPS Creative AI track 2025. "This project explores how we engage with AI-generated content through the lens of the "jutter": Dutch coastal foragers who comb the shoreline after storms, gathering and repurposing what the sea leaves behind. Reflecting how our lives are increasingly shaped by AI-generated media, we create a beach-like installation that blends real shoreline debris with AI-transformed images and videos. Visitors are invited to explore this space as contemporary "jutters", deciding what to keep and what to discard. In doing so, the project reimagines AI-imagery as material for reflection, encouraging a more discerning engagement with the content that drifts through our feeds." We worked tirelessly on this project last summer to make it the best it could be within just 2 months of time. Although this project is a little different from my usual work, I am beyond proud of the final installation, our video documentation and this collaboration <3  Wanna know more? Toen ik van Rotterdam-West naar Zuid verhuisde was ik even bang deze briefjes niet meer te krijgen. Gelukkig vond ik het telefoonnummer van mr Dobana binnen de kortste keren op mijn deurmat. Inmiddels al vijf jaar aan het sparen en tien unieke briefjes in mijn collectie. Ik blijf gefascineerd doorsparen alsof het voetbalplaatjes zijn van mijn favoriete club.
