I know there is a lot of need in every corner of the world right now, but I am hoping some of you can help me address a very specific need in a very special place.
•
I am honored to serve on the board of the Schwarz Africa Fund - a nonprofit started by my uncle David Waithaka in my grandfather’s honor after he passed in 2021. My grandpa John Schwarz moved to Kenya in 1985 (when David joined our family) and started the Kenya Children’s Fund and the Kinyago-Dandora School.

The first project of this fund is building the Schwarz School Tanzania - currently operating two classrooms for 42 students. While we are working to build a website, start our sponsorship program, and bring in larger donations to build additional dorms and teachers’ quarters, there is an immediate need to hire additional teachers so we can welcome more kids who are eager to learn.
