In de aanbouw achterin onze studio wordt keihard gewerkt aan een prachtig privé appartementje dat na de zomer geopend wordt! Lijkt nu nog helemaal nergens op maar altijd leuk om even terug te zien als het werk eindelijk gedaan is..
TRAPGEVEL APPARTEMENT (werktitel) komt beschikbaar voor verhuur t.b.v. artistieke residenties, maar ook voor kort verblijf aan mensen die op doorreis zijn, de grote stad bezoeken, fietsliefhebbers en wandelaars.
Spannend plan weer! 🔥
Binnenkort ook meer nieuws over komende artistieke projecten en jawel… het volgende BUURTPORTRET staat al in de steigers!

Het was in een woord legendarisch, om nooit te vergeten!❤️🔥
Heel hard gelachen, heel hard gehuild, heel stil geworden.. door het leven van onze buurtgenoot Wanda heen gevlogen op de vleugels van muziek en theater, omringd door buurtgenoten, vrienden en familie.
In de woorden van Wanda; “Lieve Eva en Eef, dank jullie wel voor de bijzondere middag die jullie mij hebben bezorgd! Vond het heerlijk om met jullie samen te werken! Het was echt een kijkje in jullie wereld uitgevoerd in mijn wereld. Dit zijn mooie herinneringen met een sterretje! Dank jullie wel!”
En voor ons.. het raakte een belangrijke kern om met onze muziek in haar wereld te duiken en de ultieme verbinding te ervaren met de buurt. Een cadeau is ook: mensen samen te brengen die elkaar anders misschien wel nooit ontmoet hadden.. we gloeien nog helemaal na!

Cinematographic
At 8:30 PM, the atmosphere on stage changed when Eef van Breen, a Dutch musician and composer, took over. Eef presented a different musical world. More cinematic, theatrical, and imaginative.
His playing on trumpet, valve trombone, and vocal elements created poetic layers of sound. With an approach drawn from his years of experience in theater, film, and the performing arts, Eef invited the audience into a more intimate space. The music was not only heard but also experienced as a story.
During the hour-long performance, Bandung felt as if transported to an Amsterdam theater stage, full of discoveries and surprises.
The music echoed in the hall, leaving a warm, contemplative impression that enriched the audience's experience.

Om 20:30 uur veranderde de sfeer op het podium toen Eef van Breen, een Nederlandse muzikant en componist, het overnam. Eef presenteerde een andere muzikale wereld. Filmischer, theatraler en vol verbeelding.
Zijn spel op de trompet, ventieltrombone en vocale elementen creëerde poëtische klanklagen. Met een aanpak die voortkwam uit zijn jarenlange ervaring in theater, film en podiumkunsten, nodigde Eef het publiek uit in een intiemere ruimte. De muziek werd niet alleen gehoord, maar ook ervaren als een verhaal.
Tijdens de voorstelling van een uur voelde Bandung alsof het naar een theaterpodium in Amsterdam werd getransporteerd, vol ontdekkingen en verrassingen.
De echo van de muziek bleef in de zaal hangen en liet een warme, beschouwende indruk achter die de ervaring van het publiek verrijkte.
Di Panggung Ibu, hadir formasi musik jazz–gamelan yang terbentuk di Jogja awal 2025. Kelompok ini digawangi oleh Eef van Breen (trompet & vokal) dari Belanda, Indrawan Thijn (bas) dari Jakarta, Ganggeng Yudana (gitar) dari Solo, serta Sudaryanto (gamelan) dari Yogyakarta.
Mereka memadukan irama jazz dengan karakter gamelan, menciptakan ruang petualangan musikal yang membawa pendengar menuju pengalaman baru yang belum terjamah. Seperti halnya @mldspot yang terus mendukung perhelatan Ngayogjazz, tahun ini dengan tema Jazz Diundang Mbokmu!, kolaborasi lintas budaya ini menjadi salah satu momen yang memperkaya warna festival.

Tomorrow friday the 21st at 19.00 I play in the Papandayan hotel in Bandung in the TP jazz stage with the great mas Indrawan Tjhin from Jakarta on double bass, the ispirational mas Gangeng Yudana from solo on guitar and the gamelan legend from Jogja mas Sudaryanto on Citer, Suling, Kendhang and gender!! Thank you Gayam 16 for making this possible!! We hope to see you there!!

What a week in Yogyakarta!
A well spent music research moment, exploring the possibilities of new music by bringing together the Javanese Gamelan and Western Jazz, I had the privilege to learn and perform with master @sudaryanto_djogja_new from @komunitasgayam16 and @ggyudana@eefvanbreengroup at @isiyogyakarta_official@penyajianmusikisiyk and @ngayogjazz
I am also thankful to meet maestro @singgihsanjaya again at ISI although it was only for a short time
I am also blessed for the opportunity to share some experiences and insights by giving a workshop for Yogya-Solo young jazz musicians at @balesegaris
I played on three different basses during this trip, much thanks to @pradistyaagusta@bagusryan@putriraharjo at @komunitasgayam16 for providing the bass during the research and rehearsal, @hyp_bass for prooviding the bass at the ISI Jazz Camp Final Concert, and bu Desi from @balesegaris for providing the bass at @ngayogjazz and @tpjazzfest Jazz Universe this coming Friday Nov 21st (Plus thank you so much for treating us like a family during our stay at @balesegaris )
I am also grateful to finally meet and connecting with @adityaong@laurentiusbob and all the great musicians of Yogya-Solo during this trip.
