2025 is wrapping up, and I'm taking a moment to look back on the amazing year of brand design, ideas, and growth. I'm so thankful for the collaborations and experiences that made it special. To my friends, clients, and teammates, thank you for trusting me, supporting me, and sharing inspiring conversations. Each project was a chance to learn and grow. 🤍

As a coffee lover, I had always dreamed of designing for a local coffee brand. A few months ago, I had the chance to collaborate with Mellow Coffee Roasters, founded by four passionate coffee masters. It’s been such a rewarding experience I’ve learned so much about coffee and have been deeply inspired by people who truly devote themselves to what they love. ☕️✨
Also, thanks to my talented friend @zengafan who drew the whole illustration for Mellow.💐

sᴇɴsᴏʀɪᴀʟ ᴍɪɢʀᴀᴛɪᴏɴ is not just a project, but the culmination of my two years of Master’s study. It’s a journey I’m thoroughly enjoying, from the research and practice to the engaging conversations with those who share my interest in and contribute to this project.
By exploring fish sauce fermentation and gathering family recipes from various regions, I aim to trace my ancestors’ migration journey. The unique smell and taste of fermented food have a powerful ability to evoke vivid and emotionally rich memories, often more effectively than visual cues. Can we reimagine the diaspora through the lenses of fermented food, culinary traditions, and sensory experiences?
For half a year, I’ve consistently explored the significance of the past. A beautiful revelation struck me: “We question the meaning of our origin and our primitive senses” to understand the current and foresee the future. These moments of discovery are what make this project so inspiring.
Stay tuned for the next journey! ꒰ 🐟🪷🌏ꕀ .* ꒱

I was recording the process of preparing the isp3, from learning Arduino and coding, to installing the acrylic box, laser cutting, etc. Not only for the technical parts but also in this process, I met so many people who helped me and widened my horizon, and I learned a lot(you know who you are🥹).
I love the project, which gives me a vision to understand the world and myself better. And I’ll keep on this journey and the braveness to the following steps. Stay tuned🤍✨🧣👣
Updates the project I did for last semester
Fish sauce is an essential condiment from the coastal area of south-eastern China to Southeast Asia. The traditional family-based method of making fish sauce has strong regional characteristics, and its fermentation methods are highly similar.
Fish sauce in this stage as my primary research point, because I realize that every time I have a nostalgic feeling, I cook Cantonese dishes and drop a few drops of fish sauce, the method that I learned from my parents while they were cooking. However, when researching the history of fish sauce, I found that the migration trace of fish sauce is similar to my family member's (great grandfather) migration routes in the 20th century Teochew. He migrated to Singapore and never returned in the 20th century, which led to an unspoken event in my family. I am curious about this vague memory, and this feeling has grown since I traveled abroad to a different place.
