This is a picture of me teaching my new song, "There is so much power" to my church congregation some Sundays ago @rccgvatreading . It was indeed a privilege.
One reason this song is special is that I received it during one of the highlights of my year - my brother's wedding😊.
One night, while I was waking up, I heard the song - "THERE IS SO MUCH POWER, POWER, POWER. THERE IS SO MUCH POWER, POWER IN YOUR HANDS". I've received another song like that before so I knew it was a song from the Holy Spirit. I wanted to go back to sleep and record the song later but as I was going back to sleep, I was almost forgetting the song. So, I got up and tiptoed to the bathroom in order not to wake anyone up. Then I recorded the song quickly and quietly.
While recording, I just flowed into the chorus, "IN YOUR HANDS, IN YOUR HANDS".
I thank God for the gift of songwriting, and I thank him for this song. He gave it to me, not for me, but for you. He wants to show forth his power in your life if you will let him.

This verse ministered to me differently recently, because the devil is simply and utterly wicked.
For any parent out there or anyone who's been around children or anyone who has been a child, you will know that you will use different discipline styles for different children.
Some children will adjust if you speak just once or twice calmly, maybe you even reason with them and truly they change.
But there is that other child that if you are not very fierce with and if you don't use force, they won't change. The devil and his demons are like this. You can't and should not reason with the devil. He does not reason with you? So why should you?
THere are voices that keep lying to you about your destiny, your identity, and God's will for your life. Like the scripture says, you are the one that needs to condemn and refute those voices. You need to counter these lies with the truth of God's word and you must do this aggressively. Counter the lies as often and as aggressively as it will take for those evil voices to go silent.
In fact our approach needs to be offensive rather than defensive. What do I mean? Daily confessions from scripture are key. You don't have to wait until you're almost losing your mind because of these voices before you then search for God's truth. No. In the good days, in the bad days, every single day, you must confess God's truth over your life. You must spend time in the word and pray daily. Praise and worship God; and be on alert always, as the devil never rests. If it seems he's resting, he's only waiting for when you're not alert so he can attack.
Overall, while God has a role to play in your deliverance and victory, you have a major role to play too.
God help you in Jesus name, amen.
