If you happen to be in the Tampa area and have a couple hours to spare…I will be giving my first Faculty Recital at the University of South Florida School of Music’s very own Barness Recital Hall!
Beginning at 6pm on October 27th, I will be performing the Complete Bach Suites for Unaccompanied Cello in one evening..!!
Looking forward very much to this as I officially finish completing my first month(s) as Cello Faculty at USF, where I have had the great fortune of working with many great students, faculty, staff, and welcomed me so generously into their community.

I feel incredibly humbled to announce that I will be joining the University of South Florida @usf_som as Adjunct Faculty teaching Cello and Chamber Music for this coming academic year, beginning in the Fall of 2025. My first experience teaching began when I was perhaps 16 or 17 years old; my first cello teacher threw me towards her studio to cover a couple lessons and, to this day, I could not be more grateful.
Teaching has become an inspirational and integral facet of both my life and career throughout the last decade. As I have been fortunate enough to work with many artists that I admired since growing up not too far from Tampa, it is especially meaningful for me to be able to return to Florida and share all the special things I learned since leaving where it all started.
I look forward to meeting all the students very soon !

🎶 29-year-old cellist Edward Luengo from Miami, FL, just completed his semi-final round at the 28th Annual Sphinx Competition. A student of Frans Helmerson, Edward’s career highlights include performances at Sommets Musicaux de Gstaad and the Rheingau Musik Festival. His accolades include 1st Prize at the III Buchet International Cello Competition and 3rd Prize at the IX Carlos Prieto International Cello Competition.
