Dear diary,
I think Amsterdam might be one of those cities that only makes sense once you stop trying to “see everything”
This morning I ended up wandering around Jordaan with no real plan and somehow that became my favorite part of the day. I kept stopping every five minutes because something caught my attention — a tiny café, flowers hanging off someone’s bike, the way the canal water looked completely still for a second
It started raining at one point, which honestly felt very on brand for Amsterdam, so I hid inside a café for a coffee and a stroopwafel that was almost too warm to hold
There’s something strange about this city. It’s busy all the time, but it never feels loud
I walked so much today that my legs are destroyed, but I also feel weirdly calm. Like my brain finally slowed down a little.
Anyway, I get the hype now 🚲

What’s the “next big thing” in travel, you ask?
These specific spots that are currently flying under the radar but are set to absolutely explode in 2026 🌍
If you’re looking to beat the crowds and see new places that still feel like a well-kept secret, here are our reccs:
1.Falkland Islands (Islas Malvinas) 🇫🇰
With new expedition cruise routes and a focus on high-end wilderness lodges, this is becoming the ultimate destination for “polar-style” wildlife, think massive penguin colonies and rugged coastlines, without the Antartica price tag
2.Tuvalu 🇹🇻
As one of the world’s least-visited countries, Tuvalu is gaining notice from “conscious travellers” looking for off-the-grid island life. Its vulnerable beauty is driving a new wave of eco-tourism focused on marine conservation and authentic Polynesian culture
3.Mongolia 🇲🇳
Raw landscapes and nomadic culture are attracting travellers seeking something truly off the beaten path. With the expansion of luxury ger (yurt) camps and improved infrastructure, 2026 will be the year of the “steppes safari.”
