🎭 SIEGFRIED 🗓️ May 25, 27, 29 & 31, 2026 📍 Maclab Theatre at the @citadeltheatreyeg A young man, raised in isolation, sets out to discover who he is and where he comes from. Armed with a reforged sword and an unshakable sense of curiosity, Siegfried moves through the world without fear. Along the way, he confronts a dragon, uncovers fragments of his past, and steps beyond the boundaries of the forest that shaped him. His journey leads him to a warrior surrounded by fire, and a moment that will change both of their lives forever. At once intimate and epic, Siegfried is a story of transformation, courage, and the first awakening of fear and love. 🎟️ Tickets available now In partnership with the Citadel Theatre’s Heart and Hub Program #SiegfriedOpera #EdmontonOpera #LiveOperaExperience #ThingsToDoEdmonton #OperaForEveryone

You chose that symbol for a reason. Check below to see what fate found you. ⚔️ The Hero You move before fear has time to catch up. Some people wait for permission. You never really have. 🔥 The Awakener Transformation follows you everywhere. There are versions of yourself still waiting to emerge. 🐉 The Beast People misunderstand your intensity. There’s more tenderness beneath the armour than most people realize. 🪶 The Guide You notice what others miss. Your intuition is usually right, even when you doubt it. 👁️ The Wanderer You carry more wisdom than you let on. Part of you is always searching for meaning beyond the surface. 💍 The Keeper You understand the weight of choices. What you hold onto tends to shape you. Which fate found you? Meet the creatives of Siegfried. Behind every moment on stage is a team shaping the world around it. The sound, the movement, the light, the tension, the rhythm, the space. These are the artists helping bring Wagner’s epic to life inside the intimacy of the Maclab Theatre. How do you describe Siegfried in THREE words? Apparently: epic, feral, combustible… and somehow also an action comedy. The cast and creative team try to sum up Wagner’s Siegfried in just three words, and the results are exactly as chaotic, heartfelt, and larger-than-life as the opera itself. What would you do if the story everyone told you about yourself wasn’t the whole truth? Siegfried is a coming-of-age story wrapped inside myth, memory, power, and destiny. A young man raised in isolation sets out to discover where he came from, who shaped his life, and what kind of person he wants to become. You do not need to know Wagner. You do not need to know the Ring Cycle. You just need to be willing to feel something. One week in. And already, it feels like something deeper has taken hold. Not just rehearsing, but building something together. There’s a kind of trust that forms quickly when everyone is inside the same story, working toward the same thing. That’s where we are right now.
