Today is the Special Olympics at West Hills High School. And we are back there this weekend, hosting dancer performances for all our Elev8 Arts Dancers! Here’s a throwback to a few years ago when we went to cheer on some of our favorite people! Kristen (who is now in our Elev8 Arts adult class) won her swimming competition!
We’ve seen tremendous growth this year in our Tap Department. Such skill, dedication, discipline, and commitment among our students has grown community among our classes and in our studio. Thank you Miss Jenn for arranging our first annual Tap Showcase at EDMC. An evening that allowed our artist athletes to showcase their work and celebrate the art form’s history.
If you are a currently enrolled family and your membership renewed today, you are eligible to enroll in classes starting tomorrow at 6:00pm through your parent portal. The 2026-27 Dance Year class schedule was emailed out last night.
✨everyone’s current class enrollment and membership continue through June 20. This renewal and enrollment process is for classes that bring in July for the new dance year.
I am so incredibly excited to be curating my 2nd annual (and final San Diego show) 'Simply Me' gallery showcase on August 29 held at @edmcdance in #santee
To make this amazing event happen, I am looking for just 6 more kiddos with BIG personalities to be the stars of the show. I’m specifically looking for ages 3-10 +/- who have those wonderful, gap-toothed smiles or soulful expressions that deserve to be captured as art.
Mini marathon sessions are $490 and include your favorite (2) images with additional images available for purchase immediately following the session.
We are creating these timeless, personality-filled portraits on a crisp white background to really let their spirits shine. I have a few select times available at either your custom portrait session OR I have 4 spots open on May 30th for a mini marathon session.

The next two months at Expressions includes tying up this year’s progress while looking ahead to all the we can accomplish in the future. Next season’s level placements will be emailed this evening for all academy level students. Next week, memberships renew and the 2026-27 Class Schedule comes out before priority enrollment opens to all renewed members in May 13.
If your child doesn’t stop dancing, ever!, consider joining our accelerated programs next dance year (starting this July). Applications are now open for Performing Groups and East County Ballet Conservatory, as well as the Teaching Assistant Program. All week we have been celebrating International Dance Day by dancing with our parents in the room for Parent Participation Week. It’s been a fun and memorable week in our new studio! Parent, keep coming to class, the kids love it 🥰
