@aguasolysereno.pr #livemusic #puertorico #backhome

A World Wednesday Extravaganza! Jimmy’s Jazz & Blues Club Wednesday, May 20th. 135 Congress St. Portsmouth, NH. An opportunity of a lifetime to hear this next-level collaboration of dear friends and multiple award winners. Kudos! Seems to me, like a total no brainer… If a concert like this is within the proximal hemisphere to us, how could we not go, no? 🎼 TICKETS: /venues/jimmys-jazz-and-blues-club?utm_medium=cpc&utm_source=google&tid=kwd-2334269150040&agid=161466582457&cid=21214372285&int=9002432&pres=9001873&network=g&gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=21214372285&gbraid=0AAAAAqsaoUThTc5UX56RLjN5dRv158cRJ&gclid=Cj0KCQiA2bTNBhDjARIsAK89wlHztHaIMqTKKsrID_j3k-k4CBGpxzuojQWwREl_y_ks096Jl3AfKDcaAsmaEALw_wcB 🎶. 💌❣️ Hope to see many of you friends there! https://maps.apple/p/D.SvqWKbsooU3W

Join us on Wednesday, May 20th for a night of scintillating Brazilian jazz at Jimmy's Jazz and Blues Club in Portsmouth, NH! Were proud to partner with the Seacoast Jazz Society in welcoming TRIAD+ to our stage for their debut! TRIAD+ celebrates the vibrant spirit of Brazilian jazz with an all-star quartet of internationally acclaimed musicians: drummer Mark Walker, bassist Oscar Stagnaro, pianist Maxim Lubarsky, and saxophonist Edmar Colón. Originally formed as a trio by multi-GRAMMY and Latin GRAMMY winners Walker, Stagnaro, and Lubarsky, the group expanded when Puerto Rican saxophonist Colón joined for a special performance at Boston's GBH. Their electrifying program pays tribute to the legendary Brazilian composer Hermeto Pascoal, whose genre-defying music blends Brazilian folk traditions, jazz, and fearless experimentation. The quartet's recent release, "Hermetic: A Tribute to Hermeto Pascoal Live at GBH", captures the adventurous spirit of this project. With deep roots in Latin jazz and decades of performance experience, TRIAD+ brings Pascoal's imaginative music to life through dynamic improvisation, rhythmic fire, and inspired interplay, delivering a thrilling evening of Brazilian-influenced jazz.

💫 Posts that haven’t been posted No. 1 💫 Here’s a candid shot from last summer, where on the day of my birthday 06/28/2025 I got to perform with my dear mentor and friend @johnjpatitucci —someone who I love dearly and admire greatly. The concert was a premiere of John’s piece for string orchestra entitled “Planet in Peril.” The concert also featured a piece of his entitled “communion” from his album of the same tittle, in which I played the soprano part which was originally and masterfully recorded by Branford Marsalis (another favorite of mine). These are vivid memories of moments of which I am grateful! The concert took place the @thedimennacenter in manhattan as part of the @cmf_nyc . #mentors #music #sopranosax @connselmerinc

What began as a quiet Sunday afternoon quickly transformed into an energetic dance party when Etienne Charles took the stage at MoCA\CT. Before the performance, the dynamic trumpeter, bandleader, and storyteller invited the full house to take in the environment around them. “We strongly encourage you to look at the art while we play,” Charles said, “because it will change what you see—and maybe even what you hear.” Indeed, Eric von Schmidt’s 'Giants of the Blues' set the ideal stage for the vibrant performance with surprise guests, including bassist Endea Owens. Soon the galleries were filled with vibrant Caribbean rhythms and soaring improvisation. The audience clapped along, sang the chorus, and even danced in the aisles. By the end, it felt less like a concert and more like a joyful celebration. If you missed the show or want to join us for another, don't miss the Brubeck Brothers Quartet at MoCA\CT on April 12 from 6-8pm. Tickets for this speakeasy-style show with a new VIP Experience are selling FAST! Visit mocact.org for tickets and more information about upcoming events. (Link in bio)
